"It’s true, I expected more. When I accepted the move to Palermo, I thought we’d be challenging for the Europa League. Instead, the team was eliminated in the preliminary round. I am certainly regretful on how the season ended.

"Next season I want to play for an ambitious club that takes part in European competition. I heard talk of many clubs interested in me and I am the right age to take that step up in quality. I want to do that from next year."

Matías Silvestre. Good backup?

That's what I thought too :boh:

Anyway, Juventus reinforcements (fuck other teams):

Defense: Astori/Ogbonha/Surprise?!

Midfield: Verratti, Pogba, and Asamoah (although I'd rather we gave Marrone a chance, and passed on buying that greedy bitch Pogba)

Attack: Cavani/Higuain, Ramirez, recall Gio, and Destro OR Dzeko/Damiao, JoJo/Suarez, recall Gio, and Destro

That's what I'd call a complete squad (well, almost anyway).

Fuck no to the likes of Farfan, Kalou, and all those 2'nd rate players. Lucas Moura would be awesome, but I've never seen us linked with him; same applies to Gotze. Kagawa would be awesome too, but he seems PL bound :yuck: :inter:

As backup for midfield, we should go for Alex Witsel. No way he's gonna be cheap or settle for a bench. But since we'll play on 3 torunaments next year. He'll get much playing time.

Fuck Witsel; an expensive option that we don't really need. We should concentrate on strengthening the attack before other areas. Verratti and Asamoah should be enough cover for midfield. I don't even know why we are trying to get Pogba.

I'm sure he will, but we shouldn't be wasting money on midfield. It's our most complete unit as far as I'm concerned :D

Lavezzi :tuttosport:

Will Ramirez be a better player than Sanchez in the future? (2 years from now). What about comparisons between him and Gotze? What do forum members think?

Falcao would cost what, €45 million plus?
They won't sell him for less than 10m profit. 50m I'd say.
They won't sell him at all, don't fool yourselves.

Maybe in 2 years.

It pratically says that they could sell him for 40 mil

This is what I'm saying for a while ... Falcao is a wonderful striker, that could play pretty much in every team in the world. I support and love Atletico as far as Spanish football is concerned ( since Kiko was playing there, middle 90's or something like that ), it's a club with history and Honour but let's face he can do so much better. Taking into consideration that fact and also the fact that Falcao KNOWS he could do much better I really doubt that there isn't a gentlmen's agreement between Atleti and Radamel about a possible interest of a club that he likes, in about the same price they 've got him.
Atletico earns a terrific striker, a striker that gave them during the year scoring solutions and finally the Europa League in exchange of him being able to earn his transfer to a better club at the same price range if something interesting occurs. Win - win situation, Falcao knows there aren't many teams that could pay 50-55-60 millions nowadays.
