Yes, but.. we will be wasting our time on players like Ozil. We should target players (Jovetic, Suarez, Ramirez...) from a non CL playing/Underachieving/lower teams or unhappy/want-to-go players (Sahin, RvP, Cavani, Dzeko...) from the bigger clubs.

Add Ramirez/Suarez/Lucas and Destro to that list, and I'll be satisfied. I don't want Inter getting Destro, and without a Ramirez/Suarez I think our attack will still be lacking something. We can't have epedinho: as our only legitimate option on the right

Obviously not my first choice or even second or 3rd one (Cavani, RVP and Higuan). But if these prove too costly and thus out of reach we shouldnt settle for someone completely unproven who might turn out to be good and break the bank while doing that (25 mill max for Damiao). Adebayor would be free, and a step up from Matri and Quag. He would gives us the chance to wait another year for our great forward signing. He had a great season scoring 18 goals and 11 assists in 36 games. And he's had two other good seasons in his past and has played in big teams. Berbatov would also be a cheap short term step up on our current roster.
Assuming we dont buy a world class striker,
Sell: Martinez,Krasic, Elia, Melo, IQ(do we still own him?), zeigler.
Keep: Everyone else but borriello and any dead wood I forgot about.
Buy: Adebayor (loan + option)/ 3 year berbatov, astori, pogba, verrati, giovinco, Lucio/Samuel, Kuyt, WC winger.
