who need a true winger? we've been playing with pepe - matri - vucinic and vucinic is never a winger... RVP and vucinic are obviously quite similar kind of players but the beauty is that they have the opposite stronger feet... both can play like wingers, using their stronger foot to make crosses so RVP on left wing and vucinic on right wing, or as cut in wingers... you can get the idea right? both also can be as roaming SS...

I'm convinced that the 2 of them alone, minus a true CF will already give major headaches to any kind of defense, add a CF, even more so with someone like cavani, surely you can get the idea...

why must we insist on wingers?
433 is ok when one of wingers is pseudoWinger - it's Mirco. But if both will play pseudowingers - our game will be to predictable. All 3 will go to center, no one will stay wide etc. We need one true winger - like Pepe, who will stay wide and stretch defense.

Also, I dont think that SS is best position for RVP. He is central striker.

Didn't someone from Juventus say that Goetze is DP's heir? Actually that seems like a crock of shit, I don't believe those words were said from our management.

Goetze is a great player, but he can never replace DP. :(
No one can replace DP...but as good as Goetze is and the future potentinal he has...he could be one for the ages.

@Bianconero81

Today, I read Marotta's interview where he said we needed to add quality and not quantity.

You were the first I thought of. It seems he finally understood it. :touched:

He said that last summer too, and still signed Borriello, Padoin, Estigarribia etc :D But this summer it's different, we go from buying players to challenge for the league to needing those to challenge in the CL.

BTW, are you going to change that ridiculous avatar now? :D

No shit? He was the first I thought of as well. He's hammered his philosophy into my brain over the last two years.

prolific scorer

we have other areas that need attention as well but...everything else can wait, and for that matter we can afford to "cheap out" on all other areas. but it's clear that we need a top quality central striker.

Don't know for sure but I thought he said we were going to sign four 'champions'. In a way we did with Pirlo, Vidal, Lichtsteiner and Barzagli :touched:

We're undefeated all season with this 'tar, no reason to change it.

:edit: My God.^
You just made me jizz, my good friend.

Gotze-Cavani would be a DREAM come true! Two players that just soooo awesome that they are unfappable, you can't fap to it because your balls will just explode of happiness! Add Hummels to the mix and your dick will explode too!

On a sidenote...Sanchez wants to come back to Italy uh? :klin:

Last season, he bought players to achieve a CL spot, Conte did the miracle. This coming season, we need players to challenge all fronts, League, CL and Coppa. We were extremely lucky with medical this season. Next season , we need quality covers in all departments.

I would love to have a couple of classy defenders, a cover for Pirlo, a midfielder as good as Vidal and Marchi..and a couple of lethal attackers.
I think the midfielder will be extremely important as much as the attackers. Playing in 3 leagues, our midfield 3 will certainly face fatigue, and we need good covers for them.

I have my doubts about the part in black , from the begining of the season someone who had a lot of respect for prof bertelli told me that only one who knows what he does understands his genius . That is not luck that is just a fantastic job done by him .

Am I the only one thinking we absolutely need to upgrade our LB/LWB (we need a starter on par with Lichtsteiner/Caceres)?

De Ceglie's okay to good, no more. Not to mention he's quite injury-prone.

I can't really see how you can disagree! ;)
I like Ashton too. He's a good player and probably good enough for most of the Serie A games. However, I really think he's gonna have a hard time in next year's CL. Someone like Kolarov would probably be a good player to buy. He's definitely a great player, he's only 26 and he isn't even the first choice in City which means there's a good chance he wants to join another club.

I second that. Kolarov would be a magnificent upgrade.

I agree but i think that there are other priorities at the moment .

For me the priorities are like this .

1 Top striker
2 Middfielder (at a good level for rotation to marchisio/vidal the likes of asamoah/nainngolan that have been said should be good)
3 RWF
4 LB
5 CB

This is if we play with the 433 and to say it really i wouldn't mind if we don't get a high quality LB , i wouldn't mind someone just for number which we can get for 0 .
On the other hand if we play with 352 than the priorities are like this

1 Top Striker
2 Middfielder
3 LWB/LB
4 Cb
5 SS for rotation .

And we should buy all of them none excluded .

Kolarov doesn't inspire me a lot to say it really , he doesn't look that good in defense in my opinion . Plus what are his wages at city ?
On the other hand cissokho doesn't convince me too , the only one of which i think should be good is schmelzer of borussia
