My idea for improvement would be to stop playing 3 CBs at once. Actually, in a horror scenario I could see Tudor fielding 5 CBs if Cabal and Kalulu are our WBs.
Everyone see it but Tudor apparently..

Both are better than Locatelli and Koop though
Better than Koop - Koop plays like shit so obviously anyone could do better
Locatelli is not performing at the moment but I dont think Hojberg is any better..

SMS - The question is about his desire and if he is the same player who played for Lazio.

Vla is goner and we definitely need a replacement. Our bad luck is that there are not adequate alternatives, we don't have a good option in the winter, or if we want to bring in a capable player, we have to spend huegly with empty packet. Selling Vla would cover part of his replacement costs, but we have practically no money to buy Tonali and I don't think we want to ignore the financial balance and bring in a new midfielder without selling one of the current midfielders.

A key attribute of Locatelli as well is that he can fill the floating MF/CB role. Which allows us to play 2 CBs and push both fullbacks up without compromising numbers in defence.

Won't be surprised if we switch to this soon.

Which in turn makes it less of an issue that our full backs aren't really fullbacks. It means us having far more men forward which we should look to do as we impose our game on Serie A minnows, something we've not done well since covid

Donny Huijsen (Dean’s father) on his transfer from Juventus: “We couldn’t believe it, we were really hurt, deeply hurt. A dark day. A terrible one. But why, we wondered, Dean was doing brilliantly in Turin. Giuntoli was categorical and Motta brutal when they told him he was no longer part of the project and that he had to leave….”

If we even got Tonali, I think it would be in summer. But what a dream that would be. I know people are low on Locatelli right now, but I think if you slot him at the 8 and have Thuram as B2B and Tonali dictating deeper, it opens up many possibilities. Not a big fan of the SMS rumours. That ship has sailed.

Tonali must be targeted. If we cant get him Id like a good defensive minded player with good passing skills great at blocking shots and knows how to join when attacking.
Since finding a player like this is tough we might have to compromise or scout really well.
Honestly even if a great coach like Conte would make us better I do feel Tudor got a really tough job. He has no defense or midfield. Given this team performance he is actually doing well.
I'd like to see him deal with a team that have another great CB, Tonali or a great CM
If possible also upgrades on RB and a replacement for Cambiasso who I rate poorly defensive wise.
Then he should have no excuses but to win and get to at least the QF of the CL
