This January mercato is quickly becoming a PR disaster.

It is fucking embarrassing to be linked with some of these names. Optics matter.

Optics matter to a point, but its insignificant portion. Because all that matters is performances on pitch.

If Optics mattered, we wouldn't signed Tevez, Barzagli or Pirlo. All had significant backlash amongst fans questioning why we signing flops, old or end of career players.

The Optics of Kalulu amongst fans in summer was bad too. And he turned out to be fantastic.

The guy you mentioned would cost a whole lot more and demand at least double the wages imo.
Gutierrez? he wouldnt cost more than 40m imo and his wages are half of the wages Dorgu currently earns.
The problem with him is that Real has buy back clause for 9m this year or 10m next year (similiar to the Morata clause)

Manchester City’s main target for January is Andrea Cambiaso, where they have a deal set until 2030 at a contract of €6m, double what he earns at Juventus. The English club will soon present an offer to the Bianconeri between €60-65m although Giuntoli, who values the fullback at €75m and prefers to sell him in the summer as Motta is against his sale in January. I don't see that happening. Already having huge holes in defense we would further weaken it? The only way we would sell is for an irresistible offer of around 80mln while having a replacement in hand. Seeing we're looking for loan options only I don't think that's the case.

Tonali for Luiz would be an upgrade for us.

Tonali would bench Locatelli in no time.
yup, no doubt

and tuz would pull an other schizophrenic judgment when fagioli would be a criminal with his gambling addiction, and tonali would be our best midfielder since pjanic who just had a bad spell in his life :snoop:

We don't need expensive upgrades over good players while we have holes in the squad.

Tonali would be our 5th CM if we let go of Douglas Luiz. If we sell Fags too (or plan on selling him), different story.

Agree, even if Im not even sure Tonali would even bench Locatelli.
