I don't see that happening. Already having huge holes in defense we would further weaken it? The only way we would sell is for an irresistible offer of around 80mln while having a replacement in hand. Seeing we're looking for loan options only I don't think that's the case.

That's true but it's not like Elkann will pay out a dividend from Cambiaso transfer fee. I think if we were selling him for 60-80mln we wouldn't be looking for players available on a loan + option.

We don't need Tonali. We need a true CAM.
That CAM would need to do a lot of defending though. Or in other words cover a lot of ground which means he needs to have a great stamina. For example Dani Olmo doesn't strike me like such a player. Probably that's why we bought Koopmeiners for this role and back in the past Allegri placed Vidal as the CAM.

Maybe it’s just me but part of the problem of the last 6 or so years aside from market opportunities obsession. is this obsession with players who are jack of all trades instead of being good at positions needed

I really don’t care that the attacking midfielder is good at defending or that the fullback is good at playmaking from midfield or that goalie is good with his feet. Why can’t the team just have good players in their supposed positions instead of trying to do different things that don’t work out

Kelly and Veiga :touched:

Two reserves of the reserves. Excellent planning. Excellent scouting. Brilliant management. Junktoli for DS of the year.
I don’t know them so I’m reacting in a surface level, names seem underwhelming but if it’s just some damage control with loans than I can live with it. Sounds better than going for Araujo for 50m.

Having Bremer, Gatti, Kalulu plus a young CB and perhaps Rugani or Savona is more than enough for next year.

I kinda agree but aside from the obsession with market opportunities, maybe it’s just me, but part of the problem over the last 6 or so years is this obsession with players who are jack-of-all-trades instead of being good at the positions needed. that seems to be a trend in general no and not just Jj? Having players that move fluidly between positions, covering each other, rather than being married to a specific role I think that's probably the whole reason we went for someone like Motta.

I see businesses run in the same way. This is a business problem not a footballing one.

what about Pavlovic from Milan? he is on the market and is left footed - i guess thats what it takes to lure interest from Juve this mercato.
Why waste money and time scouting and negotiating for all this random names when we can just give Chiellini a kit and have him come out of retirement for half a year to use as depth, he will fit right in, can’t imagine him doing worst than some of the names we’ve been linked with lol
