@s4tch against Milan we collapsed when Vlahovic went off, he has tactical use. Also, Motta has no plan B so I wouldn't sell a striker who's been playing under terrorists and yet get his numbers go before Motta leaves. Koopmeiners and Luiz were supposed to be giving him many assists but both have been crap too.

As if Zirkzee will do anything useful here, just send Motta back to Bologna already before we blunder another mercato.

Wait Juve paid 80M for Vlahovic... Double Jesus..
I think its a fair trade. Vlahovic isnt getting better unfortunately. I`d argue he isnt the type suited to Motta`s style and a dribbler might actually change things.
Vlahovic is younger, had a much better record with Viola and a much better record with us compered to Muani's record in Frankfurt and now in PSG. Yes, we overpaid for Vlahovic but this is just ridiculous.

Well if the trade happens - I think its fair and might actually help both teams. Vlahovic will get more balls so will find a chance to redeem himself. Kolo Muani on the other hand will make us play a bit different which might actually change our attitude in the final third.

You're probably right that it would be a fair trade for the fact that Dusan's contract expires in one year and we can't do better than this. I just think we need a goal scorer and Muani is not that.

I don't think anyone is seeing Zirkzee or Muani as a like for like or upgrade to Dusan in terms of goal scoring.

Whatever your opinion of Dusan is... something we should all agree on is that Dusan under Motta is just not working and we have to try something different.

Kolo Muani is older and has only ONE season he has scored over 10 goals in his career as CF.

Nothing fair trade about it. A struggling younger Vlahovic is still more prolific striker.

We should replace Vlahovic with likes of Osimhen, Gyökeres (too pricey but we should try), Sesko, Boniface (injury prone), Marmoush, David, Isak, etc.

And the strikers we had under Conte isnt a good argument. We had a world class defence and the best midfield, but having Matri, Quagliarella or Vucinic (and later a secondary scorer type in Tevez) was something that capped the teams ceiling then. Not something to repeat.

We were in that situation because we couldn't get anyone else financially in pre CL every season days.

And now we have mediocre defence and mediocre midfield. So even if he struggling, we should not look to replace a prolific type (overpaid)CF with guys who can barely score.

We should look to replace him with quality consistent type scorers or don't bother moving him any time soon. Just puts us in bigger hole.

Wether you think Dusan is a good player or not that's a different argument but what we should all agree on is that Dusan under Motta is not working and we have to try something different.

He is not working because you don't like that he isnt scoring enough.

The solution then isnt getting guys who scores even less in their careers?

It's not just about him not scoring enough he completely ruins all of our build up play and breaks down all our attacks because the ball bounces off of him, he falls over or can't make a simple 2 yard pass.

He is flawed technically and mentally, there is no denying it. But he is a box/poacher striker, it's not uncommon they are awkward technically.

There's no point replacing him with someone with better technique if they are worse scorers? What's the point then? Just to be more aesthetically pleasing?

I like Vlahovic, but I don't mind replacing him if they can't negotiate down the salary. But it HAS to be someone as good of a scorer or better.

Not guys who you would praise for being work horses or hold up types like a Mandzkukic or a Firmino but then they can't score. Defeats the purpose.

This is what he is supposed to be but he isn't good enough at that either. Awful off the ball movement and misses too many chances. Has no natural instinct inside the box. So basically he is failing at EVERYTHING.

As I've said before I would excuse him for having poor all round play if he was actually good at doing what he's supposed to do.

Players like Inzaghi or Trezeguet were never great technically but their ability to be in the right place at the right time was world-class and their finishing was exceptional.
