Yes, this is probably the scenario. Use his salary space for someone else. But if we also factor the transfer fee, somehow i think it's a rush decision.
With this situation, other clubs know Danilo wont continue for us and as for Napoli they dont want to pay so its a problem if we release him for free to strengthening a direct rival (top 4 Serie A). We prefer to move him abroad like Saudi and get a fee but it also depends on Danilo. News are he already have agreement with Napoli.

And with his exclusion, other clubs like Benfica, Milan know that we are in the market for defender (Silva, Tomori) and asked us to pay. For example €5m loan fee + €30m transfer fee is very generous for Silva based on the season he have while before we have difficulty to get a better amount for Huijsen in summer
