Auoar is still the better player and better signing. I want us to sign Locatelli, but people need to ease off a bit. Aouar is a top tier creative force CM.
And if we needed a defensive mf then Partey would have been perfect. Locatelli is a Roma lvl player at best.

What is so creative about Aouar?
He is a good player and he will improve us in the sense he would be better than Ramsey.
Locatelli is a way better fit as he can attack and defend and is well known to Italian football.

He isnt the dream signing but he would definitely be a good signing

Not exactly transfer talk but it is related to our attempts to land Suarez:
Juventus management under investigation over Suarez’s citizenship

The Perugia prosecutor's office has confirmed Juventus ‘were activated, even at the highest institutional levels, to accelerate the recognition of Luis Suarez’s Italian citizenship,’ adding: ‘More investigations are ongoing.’
Italian authorities investigated alleged irregularities in Luis Suarez's Italian citizenship test in September.
Suarez underwent the test in the University of Perugia. The Uruguay striker was reportedly wanted by Juventus although the Old Lady had filled their spots for non-EU players. The Uruguay striker eventually joined Atletico Madrid from Barcelona.
Perugia’s Prosecutor Office confirmed on Friday the suspension for eight months from the exercise of public offices for the Rector of the University Giuliana Grego, the University’s CEO Simone Olivieri and professors Stefania Spina and Lorenzo Rocca ‘for the offence of disclosure of professional secrecy aimed at undue profit and multiple ideological falsehoods in public acts.’
“It emerged that the contents of the test had been communicated in advance to the player, in order to arrive at a predetermined outcome and examination score to meet the requests that had been made by Juventus, with the aim of achieving a positive image return, both personal and for the University,” the Prosecutor’s statement reads.
“Investigations have also allowed us to understand how, in the first days of September 2020, the management of the Turin club was activated, even at the highest institutional levels, to accelerate recognition of Italian citizenship of Suarez. This suggests new hypotheses of crime against persons other than those belonging to the university, still in the process of study.”
Maria Turco, one of Juventus’ lawyers said in September there was “no negotiation nor agreement”. A phone call between the lawyer and the University had revealed promises of returning with more foreign players in the future.

I feel like Locatelli would just be redundant signing. We'd have to sell one of Bentancur or Rabiot for it to make sense.
redundant? There isnt anyone on the roster that does what he does.

but ok let’s say they would have to sell one of those two, just for fun. I would volunteer to drive Bentancur to the airport.

From l'Equipe

If Arsenal remained on the lookout for a long time, it was at Juventus that Houssem Aouar almost joined at the very end of the summer transfer window. But the Italian club, in the grip of financial difficulties, had to reduce its payroll by around six million. The idea was to loan Federico Bernardeschi to OL, a loan paying over the year, and to buy Aouar against 55 million euros. Everything was even settled with the player, who already imagined himself in Turin but Bernardeschi, obviously not excited by the idea of joining Lyon, changed his mind the next day, which prevented the realization of this deal.

Juve still had a chance to try Aouar but the departure of Douglas Costa from Bayern in the last hours of the transfer window was far too late while in Italy, this market closed a few hours earlier than in France (8 p.m. instead from midnight). And Aouar was then in Clairefontaine with the France team.

If I speak...
