It's time to realize we know shit about football. Not so long ago we were saying you simply can't win the CL without Messi or Ronaldo. Among other stupid things that had no justification in reality obviously.

Locatelli is exactly what the midfield needs. he can play the pivot in a two man alignment (and right now no one has established their spot outside of Rabiot) as well as regista in a three man. He’s one of the better long ball specialists in serie A. He defends. He sets the tempo. He’s an ideal signing.

You have to change the whole setup for a midfielder to succeed right now. Although I would buy Locatelli regardless. Perhaps though his price has risen too high.

if Juve can’t afford Locatelli then neither can any other club in Europe, except maybe a couple of exceptions in the premier league. But as history has shown, Italians generally prefer to stay in Italy, even if it means less money.

Locatelli, a Milan reject will save our season. :baus:
Gnabry was an Arsenal reject. KDB and Salah were Chelsea rejects. Pirlo was once an Inter reject.

There are so many posters on here who have an almost obsessive big name fetish. These are the same posters who think that signing Ronaldo was the move that would guarantee us UCL success. Turns out you actually need a strong team to win that competition, shocking.

These are the same people who think that we should blow our budget on Pogba next summer. Then they will be shocked when we still don't win the Champions League.

I want Pogba but I dont think it would make us CL winner...
We have so many faults and our whole philosophy is fucked up.
You dont just change to attacking football.
Its about balance.

Our past two years have been only about attacking but then you see how opponents get to our area easily.

I want Pogba but I also want Locatelli and also Barella who is amazing IMO

In order to be able to compete we need few things and a real coach is the no.1 priority

Barella is amazing but that's as random as they get. There is 0% chance of us signing him.

A coach can only work with the tools given. I'd say priority #1 is definitely balancing out the team for one formation. Because now our midfield is made for a 4-3-3, our attack for a 2-men attack and we have wide men we don't know where to put.

So what we need more than anything is a clear vision (from the coach & technical staff) and work towards it without exceptions. F*ck these "market opportunities" who don't fit the team.

So?

edit: we sign bums like Arthur and McKennie and then wonder why we struggle in CL. Now ppl want Locatelli, another mediocre player.

McKennie cant pass but I think Arthur needs time to be a good rotation player.
Locatelli is better than both!

Barella would've been a revelation for us, but unfortunately that ship has sailed long ago. Instead we spent that money on Luca Pellegrini, who will never play for us and was immediately loaned out despite us only having one LB prior to this season. 4d chess at play here.

And how much will Sassuolo demand for him? He is not worth it.
Under 50M he is... He defends well and he attacks well.
I`d personally rather Locatelli than Aouar.

Not exactly.
Roma offered us a deal of 10M+Pellegrini for Spinazzola who wanted to leave.
Since Pellegrini was rated as a potential talent we agreed.

Barella is a different case and I admit I didnt think he is that good at the time but he has developed brilliantly and is now a very good player.

What we need on the field is a midfield leader who can provide both strength and link well to our attack.
If we get that we can definitely and should change to 4-3-3.
