Its a player market nowadays - If a player wants to go to a certain team he will go there.
If he has a clause I see nothing they could do about it...

Yeah this season is is the first season he is getting regular starting minutes for Ajax, just turned 18. He was just a fringe reserve talent in that previous Ajax team.
And Sbosz moving to Leipzig is official, he is still in Salzburg, but will join them. Which means its foolish to even consider the idea of signing him any time soon, he is already going somewhere.

As Agresti said, there’s a chance that Berna will leave this winter, maybe on loan.
We still need to find a solution for Khedira, he’s hopefully gone. And we should send Portanova to Serie B on loan.
Besides that I don’t expect to much for the winter mercato, follow the Eriksen situation at Inter (im not a big fan, but he has qualities and more reliable than Ramsey). We usually sign some young players during that mercato, but I don’t expect a big transfer as Kulusevski was.
Matter of time before the Pogba, Donnarumma, Milik rumors will start to come.
Its a bit difficult to tell who we should sign. Locatelli is great, but the truth is that there’s not much room for him, Morata will stay for another year on loan. Maybe a right back as Cuadrado isn’t getting any younger and Danilo is proving to be a very good CD. Lets see what will happen the next 10 games.
Chiellini might retire after this season, so hopefully we’ll see some of Dragusin, otherwise we should look for a capable replacement.

But it remains a big question if the club is willing to invest those 40/45m in a player with Bentancur, Rabiot and Arthur already in that position. And McKennie of course. Still a bit early days for me to have a clear view of his capabilities, seems to comfortably play in a more advanced position indeed, but might excel like Vidal did as a B2B. I like what I saw so far.
If we could manage to sell Ramsey and buy Locatelli it would be perfect. Kulu to start, McKennie to kill games off. Behind them two of Locatelli, Bentancur, Rabiot and Arthur. We’d be finished with that line for the coming years.
Eriksen, Donnarumma, Pogba etc all very unrealistic but it’s waiting until the newspapers start linking them to us.
