Eriksen will probably go to Inter. Where are Paratici? This is such a bargain, better then all of our midfielders, Pjanic maby in the same level.

Could it be that Paratici has a deal with Raiola and Pogba for the summer? It better be something like that because Eriksen would improve.

Both would be welcome, but maby Paratici thinks is to much. If we are happy with this midfield then it's really bad.
Maybe our management thinks we are set

already ... we have Ramsey ... we havs Berna ...

And knowing Fabio can't push them out...

So Erikson thing will never gona happen ...

I like the competition with Inter on and off the

field , it should makes us more stronger ...

Eriksen joining Inter now or in the summer is still unplausible imo but maybe it’s so because it’s a new reality..Our only excuse if we let this happen is maybe saving the money (salary not transfer fee) for a world class midfielder+Tonali..Otherwise it’s a big failure from Paratici’s part.

Ramsey took Eriksen's place and that's the reality.

Another fact is we have Ramsey on 7m net while Eriksen will get 10-12m. That's a huge difference.
and don't forget the new boy kulusevski who can play as trequartista....no way there is space for Eriksen ...

sorry, Eriksen fans ...try again

What difference does it make ?

We have the 3rd highest wage bill in all of sports ffs

Besides with the new tax laws that isn't even a substantial difference

Tici better have someone better lined up for the summer. You don't get many opportunities to sign world class players for free especially someone who would massively improve our midfield in the current setup

I still don't understand this transfer
he'll be a squad player from day 1, and a pretty good at it. gasp's remark about him is a bit worrying though.

anyway, i doubt we're getting an other tq/seconda punta, so no eriksen for us. what a pity. not a stop gap solution like vidal, not a handsome dud like giroud, he's a proper footballer. let's hope the italian media know shit about the situation (just like with haaland) and he'll end up in madrid eventually.

Why what did Gasp say about him?

I agree with badass on this one. how often does a player as good as eriksen leave his club with 6 months remaining? for tottenham, its probably more worthwhile to keep him and hope he can help the team through this tough period than get 20 mil.

on the flip side, no team is going to pay 35mil or whatever it might cost when they could just get him for free.

so unless eriksen is throwing a fit and refusing to play, a january move really doesnt make much sense for tottenham or a potential suitor.

but if we arent pushing hard for a summer transfer then wtf
First of all, Eriksen has not been outstanding for 1.5 year now. Even last season, when Spurs got to the CL final, neither the club nor the Dane have been outstanding. Mind you Tottenham in 13 CL games won only six while lost five and drew two! They barely beat Inter on goal difference in the group stage. In the league they finished behind Sarri's Chelsea and 26(!) points behind second placed Liverpool!
Speaking of Eriksen being a bargain at 20-35mln transfer fee. Why no club bought him last summer when it was the last chance for Spurs to cash in on him? From the top of my head, Tottenham paid 70mln+ for another midfielder - Ndombele. If Eriksen is so great why no club offered 70-80mln for him?
Nobody is going to pay for Eriksen now because it's simply not worth it.

Moving to the subject of Eriksen to Inter. First of all, I don't see the point in this move from the sporting perspective. The Dane wanted to leave Spurs to compete for trophies. Inter was eliminated in CL group stage for the second year in a row. Currently, Spurs have better players than Inter, no doubt. Plus, their spending power is not inferior to Inter's so I don't see Inter getting better than Spurs anytime soon.
Secondly, the salary. Eriksen will definitely ask for a high salary coming as a free agent. He currently gets 2.3 mln euro net. Since Ramsey and Can got 7m and 5m respectively at Juve, I can see Eriksen asking for 9-10 considering he has a higher market value than both mentioned players coming from EPL recently.
Average salary at Inter is 2.38mln so giving Eriksen 10m would quadruple the average. Average salary at Juve is 4.5mln (excluding Ronaldo for obvious reasons). Consequently, Eriksen doesn't fit Inter wage structure.

To sum up, I think Inter is seriously considered as a destination for Eriksen because there are not many clubs willing to fulfill his wage demands. Nerazzurri would have to offer him 10mln to convince him to join an inferior club which would damage their wage structure. Let's see what happens because making an offer to the player doesn't mean he's going to accept. Plus, Eriksen has not been at his best for almost two years now so maybe that's why we are not interested in him.

Eriksen is undoubtedly one of the best midfielder available as a free agent he has been below par this season but that doesn't make him a bad midfielder if Sarri wants to continue with the 4-3-1-2 formation than we need to sign eriksen

worrying is a harsh word probably, let's say it might be something to think about. so he said kulusevski was sold because it's hard to get any playtime over the current players at atalanta. it's a rare kind of remark from a coach, they are usually much more diplomatic than this, especially when it comes to a young player just sold for a record fee. i never saw a coach saying "the money was too good, we won't miss him anyway". again, i might be wrong, but that's what i read between the lines. :boh: also, while ilicic and gomez are certainly considered as two of the best attacking players in the league, both are like 31-32 and are regularly rested for league games.

yeah, this whole spurs team just completely ran out of steam. iirc they didn't sign a single player before the previous season, despite that according to a pochettino interview, some key players wanted to leave during the 2018 summer mercato. eriksen was probably one of those guys. i guess last season was his last effort for spurs, i think he simply lost all motivation and badly wants a change of scenery.

This argument is so stupid, no offense.

Yes, we have and it's not sustainable in the long term. The club has to trim down the wages or at least keep those on the same level with hope that the revenue will grow further. As things stand the club spends too much on salaries and there are renewals in the pipeline (Dybala 7m -> 10m; Szczęsny 4m -> 7m).

That's why it is surprising that inter are in advance talks with Eriksen agent as all top clubs want him
