Am I the only guy here who isn't big on Eriksen? He was a top midfielder 2-3 years ago but seems to have really dropped of since then.
He's only 28, but an old 28. I don't see him rediscovering his best form.

He stopped caring 2019 (despite that finished last season with 8 goals 12 assists) because of contract dispute. But DEFENITELY not 2-3 years ago. He pretty much finishes every last 3 seasons with best assist count. Showed up in plenty of big games.

Absolutely not. Pogba is a couple of levels higher than Eriksen.

A couple levels? Nah. At best a minor level better, and that’s when Pogba actually performs, which aside from the occasional match for France, he hasn’t done for 3+ years now.

Not sure how you can call out Eriksen for being poor the last year or so, while praising Pogba who has been far worse than Eriksen during his time United.

Eriksen played in a competent team with competent strikers and wingers. At United, Pogba is pretty much the only good player.

That doesn’t excuse Pogba spending the better part of 3 years clowning around, putting in half-assed effort, and looking terrible in most matches. He’s not a kid anymore. He’s 27 in March, one year younger than Eriksen.

While I do agree that a top form Pogba is a bit better than Eriksen, a top form Eriksen (which has been seen as recently as last year) is far better than anything we’ve seen from Paul in years.

Eriksen and Pogba both played in the Premier League from August 2016 until January 2020.

Eriksen scores more, assists more, creates more chances, and even defends harder than Pogba.

He does have a problem when the pressure is on to perform. He disappears most of the time. Just look at their CHL run last year. He was poor in the QF, SF and final.
That being said for 20m he it is a no brainer, with the qualities that he have, and the qualities we are lacking.
I would take Pogba, Veratti, KDB even SMS every day of week over Eriksen.
