I can’t help but feel envy towards inter.

They bought Sensi and Barella (two attacking box-to-box midfielders) for a very cheap cost.

Meanwhile we give freebies from like Can and Ramsey massive contracts and wages, just because they are free and reasonably well known names (because playing in England).

Horrible business really.

If he was healthy, I would rather have Ramsey then Barella or Sensi. But thats a big if, Ramsey is a top quality all around midfielder, but him and healthy dont go together.


Sensi was actually brought to Sassuolo from Cesena in cooperation with Juventus. We had our eye on him for couple years, but clearly didnt deem him good enough to buy. He wasnt doing much in Sassuolo to be frank, but his first few months with Inter has been top notch indeed, I rate him over Barella. Who I dont really care about us losing out on. Rather have Bentancur over him.

as for wages - Mandzukic left which frees some wages, I expect Rabiot to leave as well if he doesnt perform until the end of the season so thats transfer fee + wages.
Khedira - Im not sure he will stay for another season so thats wages as well...
Rugani or Demiral - One of them could be sold once we get Romero..

And... even if I put profits from merchandise tickets and etc aside we can still pay it through installments therefore not breaking any of the financial fair play rules (and if we eventually do we will probably get a 20K fee as this whole system is corrupted and protect big teams who break the rules.
For example Milan would get punished but City PSG or Barcelona would walk out of it with a ridiculous fee (see their fines for financial fair play / illegal approach for Griezmann).

Anyway I dont expect us to break the rules as our accounting team seem to do a better job than the other "Lions of Europe" and we seem to be very calculated when it comes to money (Yeah yeah Elkan and Jews jokes..)

Dont bother yourself with our financial state as our club clearly know how to handle it.
Getting the right players to improve the team is something we should be worried about as I dont feel we did a very good job this summer (apart for MDL and Demiral).

We got Ramsey and Rabiot who for now dont even justify half their wages..

i don't think either will be sold. That we are squeezing Demiral in seems to indicate a desire to keep both.

Bentancur is better than Sensi and Barella, he has CL and international experience too boot. Ramsey and Rabiot should have been sufficient for us, on paper they're excellent players. Even if Ramsey is injured a lot, Rabiot should fill in but we've been unlucky. On top of that Danilo has been crap. We could have only predicted that Ramsey would be injured a few times but nothing else.

Nothing else? It was very predictable that Danilo would be crap, he has been crap for 4 years LOL. And the summer before it was super predictable Emre Can would be a nobody dud depth level player. Only thing suprising is Rabiot, instead of being the upper mid level player he is, has been absolutely useless/no show for half a season.

My feeling is that Sarri gets very little input in the market and I think it will make us perform below what we can achieve. With Cancelo leaving, Danilo was convenient so we sell our player for cheap and took this bum off their payroll. Can should have been moved on if he was not in Sarri's plans. Same for Mandzukic.

I'm going to disagree with you, Bentancur with Pjanic, Rabiot and Ramsey is a very technical midfield but we never get to see this combination.
