His technique was never lacking.

His technical skills were extremely basic, limited, his best asset was his decision making, as in he quickly moved the ball to closest guy, but if he kept the ball and try to drive it it was likely to be turnover due how awkward he was with it. It was more evident when he was moved back to CF, he could NOT be involved in build up at all, dissappearred from games completely. Or was seen when he was killing counters with possession (him and Matuidi attacking together was wtf).

It was pretty obvious from the moment sarri took charge that mandzukic had to go. As previously mentioned his contribution to the build up play is where he lacks. His only real use is in the box, even so he hasnt been that prolific for us. In reality he cant do half the things higuain does outside the box. Sad to see him go he epitomised grinta but he is equally to blame to think he could force himself in the same manner Dybala and Higuain did when refusing moves elsewhere in the summer

Simply not true. Might fit your narrative, but mandzukic was a complete player. His best was as left midfielder for a reason, and not just because of Hustle and because he was tall.

There is no narrative, I liked what he brought to table as an elite role player when he couldnt score anymore. But good enough technique wasnt one of them. If it it was for you, we might have severely different standards for technique.

What emergency? All of them are starters in my book:
    - Pjanic is obvious
    - Rabiot simply because he's more useful than Matuidi
    - Bentancur - our best B2B atm, surely a starter as RCM
so you want to pay for 40m backup Paredes?

far from a complete player. I'm talking about his technique with his feet, not his ability to leap off the ground.
