i would say he is/was before his injury, he was playing fantastic for Madrid at the beginning of the season. but i agree, SMS would suit us more although id love Kovacic here

.Sami Khedira - Defensive Midfielder , good passing and defensive attributes but at his age offensively doesnt offer too much.
.Blaise Matuidi - Defensive Midfielder , offensively doesnt offer too much but very solid defending.
.Claudio Marchisio - Defensive Midfielder , his passing and temper on the ball are vital for us especially in a 3 man midfield because he can sit deep.
.Rodrigo Bentancur - Defensive Midfielder, we are not yet aware of his offensive potential but defending wise he can be a starter regardless of formation.
.Stefano Sturaro - Defensive Midfielder, his grinta is usefull.

Than we have our one and only offensive CM box-to-box and playmaker in the same time -
.Miralem Pjanic - Central Midfielder , he could be our MVP when fit especially in a 3 man midfield.

Should we not ask ourselfs how many of our midfielders can be decisive with his dribbling/passing or offer more than 7 assists per season ?
I like Sinisa but I just dont see SMS as the solution to our 'problems' , we stacked with DM's we need some ball players ... i dont like giving examples but there are plenty young promising playmakers out there and as i previously stated if Juventus really are willing to splash circa ~80M on a single midfielder i think is gonna be a more 'marketable' name and front page type of transfer.

Khedira is a central midfielder not a defensive midfielder. Matuidi is also a ball winner but plays more box-to-box.

I do agree Matuidi maybe is box to box but he is a defensive type of midfielder he can not even dribble or shoot lol nevermind assisting more than 3 goals per season, he is usefull to juve only defending/effort wise.

It is not that relevant honestly , my point is we stacked with defensive-minded midfielders , other than Pjanic and a fit Marchisio(+maybe Bentancur) none of them can playmake/dribble or provide key passes/assists on a regular basis at the highest level.
