SMS plays for a top club in Italy. hes a 22 yo, physical, attacking btb CM in the Pogba mold, he has drawn attention from lots of top clubs already, so its pretty reasonable to expect a 60M+ fee being paid for him. thats just what players like him cost you nowadays. also, your question about when was the last time a team like Lazio got 60M for a player is irrelevant, because a. prices went full retard x100 only in the last 2 summers and b. when was the last time Lazio had a 22 yo WC player bound to a contract for the next 5 years?

I would like us to retain our best players for once; show some balls instead of bending over and taking it up the ass when we see money.

Do you see Bayern selling their best players every year? They don't have a sugar daddy or endless supplies of cash like City and/or PSG, but they somehow manage to retain their best players and remain competitive in Europe, even winning a CL title not too long ago. I'd like our board to remain committed to doing well in Europe, and I don't feel a model where you behave like a 2nd rate team by selling your key players (and most marketable assets I might add) contributes to that.
