I'm absolutely serious. Pogba failed at being the main man at Utd. Coming back to us for a huge fee (because Utd won't let him go for cheap and he won't play for peanuts) means he needs to step up and be a protagonist for us as well. What guarantees do we have he would replicate his old performance with Juve? None. I say let the past go and focus on future. Did Torres start performing again playing for Milan or Atletico? No. Paul made his decision and I think we should stay away from him.

He already was the main man in 15/16, finished the season assisting or scoring in every game

Im sorry but if we take Bonucci back we can definitely take Pogba back...
Pogba left while he still has the affection of the fans and still is attached to the club!
Put that aside and concentrate on the big picture - Pogba is probably the best in his position.. This alone should make you want him on our team...

The purpose of football is to win trophies - If you have the best players you have the best chance so considering we need a CM and we need it badly Pogba is the ultimate signing for us (just as it was with Ronaldp signing for us)

Next year I definitely think he`ll be here with us but I`m not that sure about Pjanic - I hope we get him to complete our team and not in order to improve on Pjanic...

He was a cherry on top of a midfield with Khedira and Marchisio. When both of them were injured at the beginning of the season he could do shit. Still, I'm not saying he's a bad player, he's just a good times player who has issues dealing with playing under pressure.

I would have the same concerns.

Who is to say he can perform at his 15/16 levels again here? He wouldn't be the first player to peak too early and not rediscover his form. People talk as though he has performed well since leaving Juve, he has been a failure so far at Man Utd. You can say that's Mourinho's tactics, but he has been nowhere near the levels shown at Juve for France too.

I'd still be happy if we re-signed him but the more I see him the more doubts I have on whether he would be worth the money it would take and if he can consistently reach his previous performances.

Putting Ronaldo and Pogba in one sentence is ridiculous. Same as saying he's attached to the club. He only cares for himself. He went to ManU for money and fame. Ultimately he made a joke of himself and now we are to redeem him? Bonucci and Pogba left in similar fashion but bringing back the latter will be much more difficult. We exchanged Bonucci with Caldara and got a Higuain bonus on top of that transaction when we had to ship him off with no parties interested bar Milan. Whereas the Frenchman will cost more than 100mln cash. Not to mention he's been terrible for the last two years. I say move on and focus on other targets. I'm not even sure if Pogba is worth discussing since I'd be very surprised we even have such an amount to spend.

i see this being repeated everywhere, was it actually confirmed that he got a raise? i only read about the extension, not the raise
he's on 6 mill a year, it was confirmed soon after marchisio left funnily enough and makes him one of the highest paid players in the league, frankly disgusting given how little he contributes

He is a phenomenal talent

I don’t believe we have signed anyone from Chievo recently.

De Ligt and Pogba would be enough for next season.
I think our mercato for next season will be those 2 and instead we will see Benatia leave and we might see Pjanic leave as well although Im not sure about this one...
If Pjanic leaves we will have Pogba+another player (talented but dont expect SMS or something..)
Anyway those 2 would be 2 amazing transfers from a marketing aspect as well
De Ligt is the young prodigy everyone want and Pogba is definitely marketable (he will be our 2nd most marketable after Ronaldo)

No comment on Pogba would suck with us, the reasoning as to why, and him being a cherry with Khedira in midfield, but he'd cost more than 100m?

As much as I hate Pjanic sometimes for being lazy and missing easy chances, he should absolutely stay.

Our creativity would suck without him.
Pogba was here before Pjanic and he delivered with creative stuff as well so Pogba instead of Pjanic wouldnt hurt us creative wise as I expect our creative power to rise a bit
Of course Pjanic+Pogba would mean business..

Yes because he's an overvalued asset. Played really well at Juve where he had many experienced players around like Pirlo, Marchisio, BBBC, Evra, Tevez and co but failed miserably at United where he was supposed to be the inspiration for others. Why I think he's gonna cost more than 100mln? The first reason is that it would be absolutely humiliating for Utd to first let him go for free, then buy back for a world record fee just so sell him to the same club for a half cut price. The other thing is that whom Utd is gonna get in exchange? Sigurdson for this kind of money? Or Richarlison? No reason for them to sell for cheap at all. Pogba coming here for such money would need to perform week in week out just like Higuain or Ronaldo and we all know how inconsistent he is. That's why I think it's not a good idea to bring him back. Unless the deal would be similar to Bonucci, taking a pay cut and coming for a bargain fee which is not happening.

he had good players besides him no doubt and no doubt that it's important for him in order to perform to his max, but it's not like he wouldn't find good players here when he comes back

He would, I agree. Let me put it this way, if he's available for 50mln, go for it. If it's 100mln, forget about it.
