I dont know why almost everyone is under estimating our power in the transfer market as of late. I think the club made an important statement of intent last summer in signing A-listers like Pjanic, Higuain, Alves and even Witsel (even though it failed) in one window and Sandro + Dybala + Cuadrado + khedira before that. We even went after Witsel again this winter. This is while saying repeatedly that Pogba was not planned to leave and that these signings were not to replace him.
I understand that verratti earns a lot of money and that we are competing with fat cats with bags of money if we want to sign him, but that is a far cry from going as low as Kessie, Nzonzi and such nobodies as anywhere near our big signings. Our status and financial power has grown a lot since 2011/12 with increasing signs. We might have not improved on football terms in the last two seasons but the club itself has obviously become much more ambitious. Its only a matter of time till Max turns things around and finds a new working system. Thats why I think sacking him would be stupid. We know he can be great and we know our management are playing their cards right. Keep the stability going and we will reap the rewards eventually even if I am the first to criticize our performances this season.
