Isco is a much better player than Pjanic in open play. He doesent have Pjanic setpiece abilities which are out of this world.
Not much better, but defenitely better in open play. Pjanics marquee quality is set pieces but he shies too much from responsibility and from receiving the ball more then 3 seconds, while Isco is the kind of AM that wants to make something happen at all times and can give headache to defenses for sure dribbling and passing.

All of those were successful smokescreens. It's just that the players we really targeted weren't as good. But what difference does that make.
We need to aim higher or we need to put faith in youngsters. Instead of aiming for established players like James, Isco which we know we won't get because of their salary or the competition for their signature, we should get players like Tielemans, Berardi, Naby Keita etc...

A transfer i really like is Bentancur, he can develop into something special.

:D We're in a situation now where we can afford one of those big signings per summer. Whether they want to come to us is another matter, especially with this Chinese money flying around.

I'd take Alexis every day of the week, that's an obvious choice. I'm eternally dubious about purely technical AM players, even high quality ones. What Juve need are ones that will show up in big games, clutch players. Getting three assists against mid-table Serie A teams is not what is required.

I'm not mad about Witsel going to China. If we is willing throw away his career, it says something about his character. He's spent his career in Russia, and will spend the rest in China. Nobody in 20 years will even remember his name.

We'll get James. I started rambling about James at the beginning of last summer. The rumours have just gotten hotter. He'll come here. He has half of Colombia pressuring him.

Higuain gets 7.5m per season. Dybala will also get that soon. We wont offer anythin major above that region.
The likes of sanchez, ozil, isco etc... earn more than that anyway so why would they reduce their salary to come to us when they have better offers from epl.

Thats just marotta bs to make fans happy.

last season we spent big because we sold pogba, morata, pereyra
the year before that we spent big because of the sales of vidal, tevez, of co-owned players.

there is no evidence from the last 5 years of spending big on one or two big name players without the sales of players

Pjanic is pretty average in open play. As you say he hides from the ball, he often disappears in big matches, and even when he has the ball, you dont have the feeling that he will create something unexpected with a dribling, a through ball or anything. Isco has that magic about him, even though he have stagnated a lot in the last couple of years.
Pjanic setpiece ar really impressive. I did not think that having him would improve us so drasticly in that regard but it did. I think we have scored more goals from setpieces (not direct freekicks) the last 5 months than in the previous 5 years. That makes Pjanic a lot more useful than I thought he would be.

Higuain is on 7.7m, Sanchez is on 8m. Barely a difference and if the twat wants to win anything he would gladly play for a little bit less.

Mi parce james should grow a pair, come to Juve and become legend. Isco is not leaving Madrid.

In fact Juve wanted to get him last summer and Madrid opened the door but he chose to suck zidane socks
