Anyone seen Naby Keita, this guy is a machine, he is the kind of player our midfield needs. Shame he plays for filthy rich Leipzig
Yeah he seems interesting, nice goal vs Bremen recently. Seems rather lively mofo, capable b2b and more offensive then defensive but is seems to be all over the midfield at will.

They are rich, but it would hardly be hard to entice a player from them? its a village team thats 7 years old still? Juve comes calling, if our offer is good enough the player should be very eager to pack his bags.

They are litterally a village club formed 7 years ago, it has been pumped with Red Bull juicy millions, but it doesnt change the small stature of a club, even if its been an impressive rise considering where they are in table right now (2nd). But it defenitely shouldnt be hard to make a player of theirs interested to come.

@Nostradamus disagrees. Leipzig is a much more appealing prospect for any player who even had a conversation with a German bloke once

I feel like our midfield lost out on so much physicality with Vidal and Pogba leaving. We're kinda..soft actually. Wonder if we could get 2 good years out of Yaya Toure, for free?
Word is he got lazy, and maybe he could hack the slow down in pace in Serie A, but I don't think he would have fun in Serie A training sessions which are notoriously tougher than those in England.

If he could even play at 3/4 of his form for city from 2-3 years ago, I'd welcome him here. Only other issue is he is a headcase.

Evra was slowing down a lot before he joined but proved to be a pretty good acquisition. I'd obviously try for a younger, more hungrier stud like Kessie but if it goes down to the last minute in the winter I'll take him to cover for Lemina and Asa. If there's a team that is pro at turning careers around it's us. Loan + option would be good.

It's just that we lack toughness in the middle, which was a huge part of our success. We have way too many finess players in midfield. Too bad we couldn't get Matic.
If we could get 1 good season out of Yaya I'd gladly take him on a 2 year contract.

Kessie and Fofana look like very interesting prospects. We should pounce before the rest of Serie A.

This would be my concern.
and this:
That isn't being slow. That is lacking intensity and concentration. I don't know why he played like this, but it is completely inexcusable.

Quite frankly, that video makes Pirlo look like Gattuso.

Yeah, you are right, but its just when you put it like that, it sounds quite brutal. But true :D

I'm all for signing a physical presence in the midfield. Should we give up on Matuidi ? Or take this guy over him

The issue with Toure, as described in hatefull ways by every EPL analyst, is his mentality

- He does not run one yard for the team
- He doesnt even run one yard when his team has the ball and is attacking

- He will ONLY run, when he sees he has an actual scoring opportunity and refuses to run for anything else then that.

No matter how much you should and punish him, he simply does not give a shit. He won his things, he has his acclaim, and he doesnt care about you and your team he's part off. He plays only for his own stats, and thats it.

Good luck integrating that at juventus where the 90 million big name centreforward was playing an inferior wing role in the biggest home game of the (league) season to accomodate the much inferior second centreforward, cause injuries and the situation demanded it. And Higuain worked his ass off.

I agree.

And as much as dumb EPL analysts can claim than Serie A is less physical, Serie A is all about intensity, concentration, and playing for the team. In Serie A we don't expect as intense pressing or diving into a tackle, but we expect positional perfection, pressing when needed, getting back into position which means sprinting into position if you've made a run previously. He will be expected to cover more distance than he did in the EPL, just with less sprinting.

Based off Toure's recent exploits, he just seems like a disaster waiting to happen.

And quite frankly, I think Allegri's training methods might lead him to have a lot of muscular injuries, if he decides to participate in them.

do gladbach look like idiots? selling to juve when entire epl is horny for dahood
I don't think signing a 21 years old wonderkid is out of reach for us. I am not saying we will definitely sign him. But it's far away from a day dream.

Also a team with a world class defence, world class attack and not a world class midfield, which is considered one of the top 4-5 most probable candidates to win the CL, would sound the ideal destination for me if I were a young midfielder.

Pjaca signed for us instead of EPL and Milans.
Witsel fully rejected Everton.

There is something to be said to play for a world class team. You can't always chase money, because you've gotta think about what will make you more money in the long term.

So I agree: unless the wage differential is obscene, he would choose Juventus over most EPL teams.
