I wouldn't say that at all. Our midfield is struggling right now and we need Marchisio at his best ASAP. I remember Pogba being awful last season as long as Marchisio was oit as well 'though. Let's judge the situation in Januari... It's not as if Pogba is setting Manchester on fire in a star player collection.

PSG is in no way selling us Verratti any time soon.
He might be able to do some good moves and provide some good passes but Pogba is obviously way better

It's pretty gross to see people pushing for Matuidi instead of Veratti. Boarderline disgusting, and makes me think that this is secretly an Inter forum, full of people pretending to be Juve fans but would actually love to see our downfall.

Same type of thinking that drove the likes of Giovinco away: "It doesn't matter that he's extremely talented, highly technical, has great vision and creativity, impeccable passing, and has a remarkable ability of keeping the ball in possession - he's not physically strong enough". You guys should do your shopping in League One. I wonder what you would say if we tried to sign Messi?

We don't even deserve Veratti with fans like this, but hopefully our board isn't this retarded. If they're anything like you, the kid will end up joining Milan's project and you can all sit there watching them lift Scudetto's while you hold on really tightly to Sturaro, Khedira, and the other highly physical brain-dead midfielders you're so in love with.

You got exactly what was being discussed, bravo.

"Matuidi is the sort of player this team needs" = "Matuidi > Verratti". Excellent deduction. Comparable market values, likelihood of signing, attributes.

Would be interesting though to see Verratti complete a muscular midfield of Pjanic - Hernanes - Verratti. Give that midfield a bad spell and heads might explode.

...Khedira, and the other highly physical brain-dead midfielders...
the last word that comes to my mind about khedira is physical. the other one is brain-dead.

khedira is quite an intelligent player, his positioning is top notch. the only thing that bothers me about him is his physical attribute: he's slow, and he won't go for tackles like vidal did.

fuck vidal, really. i hope he won't ever win the cl.

Pogba was struggling without Marchisio and Khedira, but also because Hernanes and Lemina didnt settle in yet (we didnt have anyone to hold the midfield), among other factors like changing half the team, bad form, no standard formation yet etc. With Pjanic its similar, Pogba who was our go to guy, our 1st option in attack along with Dybala left (Dybala hasnt really been in top form either), we have 3-4 new starters and need time to adjust our game. Marchisio will help solve our issues obviously, but we will need Pjanic and Khedira to up their game as well. Cant expect one player to make everyone else improve their form magically, but I have no doubt the team will peak again come February like they did last year

Do you guys even watch Matuidi, bar the odd game ?

CL and international football. Enough games to know what type of player he is and wheter hes good enough or not

Problem with Pjanic is that even when he has more pass than pogba...Pogba was a slot in in our formation..while Pjanic has been underperforming hardcore in soem games.

We could say the same for Pogba tho, but well at least the guy had some physical presence even on his bad days

We need another reliable DM, hernanes/lemina does not cut it

we need a WC AM because we need to move away from 352 and we need another creative outlet other than bonucci and dybala.
Yep. We could also put Pjanic highter on the pitch if we had one world class DM behind him and true wing midfielders, or even three WC MC behind pjanic as AM. But with only axial midfielders our flanks would be as inneffective as they are now.
