Matuidi is exactly the type of player we miss, it's a shame PSG had a hissy fit.

We lack creativity above all, someone who could link the midfield with the attck, someone who can carry the ball forward from the midfield.

We can't create for shit now, when dybala is not on his day. Higuain didn't have a single shot on goal against milan, i think one against Lyon, just to show how difficult for us to create goal scoring chances.

The problem at the moment is physical (overwhelmingly) and some mental. But that's going to happen when you bunch together injuries, loss of individual form and difficult games back-to-back. I know you don't like Matuidi but I don't much care about that, what he brings is ferocious stamina and momentum to a team, he's not there to do flicks and killer passes. I'd even argue the case for someone like Witsel, and I'm not a fan of him particularly.

Higuain also can't do shit when he can't even get him the ball, Pjanic needs players making runs and space so he can deliver some killer passes, something he can't do because now were very static as a team.
Yes we need someone dynamic and some muscles in the MF but Matuidi is definetely not the answer. I've watched him enough, i talked to people that watch him every week and they all agree that he's mediocre at best and IMO.

Can't see how can someone who watch our team, this year, that we don't have creativity problem, we are so predictable as a team, no threat at all from the middle, same game plan as always.

We could win the scudetto playing like this, but we will not go far in the CL this way, same problems every year.

I didn't say that individually they were the most creative players - although omitting the premier playmaking central defender is a weird opinion - but that as a front 7 players there are other problems here than creativity. The way you approach a match is an overriding factor, not the formation or to a lesser extent the players picked. You could put together a team of donkeys to create lots of chances by playing a certain type of aggressive football, we're measured and have been for some time. They'll concede goals, we generally don't. Sometimes that is not conductive to turning around games or being dominant, but it's served us well for a long time.

Against Milan the CM was lightweight and unathletic, but again it's not the defining reason for a performance or a loss, there were plenty of reasons why we lost. Whether people want to take them into account or continue their old narrative is entirely up to them.

No not Matuidi. Hes not good enough. A poor mand Pogba at best, and not better than what we have now. We should stop spredning 30 + mil and High wages on a 30 year old who does not improve our midfield. Save the money and ideally buy a starting quality CM, or if thats not possible a young CM with big potential.

I don't get the notion of comparing Matuidi with Pogba. What do they have in common besides nationality and skin color? Having Matuidi in our team at the moment would certainly improve it.

If you haven't noticed we are already buying loads of young big potential CM's but they just aren't ready to play for us yet.

They play the same position, and have some of the same qualities, like there runs through the middle and getting into the box.

I really don't see many similarities between Pogs and Matuidi as players.

I don't know but he would certainly add a good option for Allegri to pick from.

I wouldn't say that at all. Our midfield is struggling right now and we need Marchisio at his best ASAP. I remember Pogba being awful last season as long as Marchisio was oit as well 'though. Let's judge the situation in Januari... It's not as if Pogba is setting Manchester on fire in a star player collection.

PSG is in no way selling us Verratti any time soon.
