Would Zaniolo be sensational? I feel like after how heavily rumored we were with him over the last year or so, it would be a decently big news but not sensational.
Italians have other definitions for the terms we use, at least that's what I noticed. Nobody is expecting a player like that arrive now, so in a way it would be sensational to spend 30m on an AM/winger like that.

In other news Marcello Chirico says there's no renewal clause for AS. Some mentioned 40 appearances would trigger it the same way it happened for Cuadrado last year.

It's probably Zaniolo (if it's anybody, really easy clicks to report that there's a huge secret but we can't say what yet), and Zaniolo would be such a disappointing transfer atm.

Even if he'd have the loyalty we will need to rely on, we also need somebody who's not an injury risk.

Zaniolo, obviously.

There must be a reason why Milan backed out and focused on Ziyech.
How does a casual 30m sound as a reason. Italian teams are piss fucking poor and can't even compete with the relegation contenders in the EPL. Milan will also miss out on Ziyech when another random EPL team comes with a bag of money vs offering a loan.

Yet, here you have the football federation scoring own goals, damaging the reputation of its biggest club (and the somewhat only relevant one on a financial scale), and further damaging the league's reputation.

We collect cash from sales so in this way we can buy I guess. It is only a guess though, most gurus and journos say we won't buy anyone because Wes replacement is Pogba in a way. For the wingback we now have Cuadrado and MDS coming back + Chiesa as a makeshift I guess.

Other than that, not that I disagree with you - those are all valid points but in the end life goes on and JJ won't disappear after the trials. We'll see soon enough, the window closes in a few days.

Guy is producing Berna numbers.

Why you want him.

He refused to be called up?

Not only shitty on the pitch but off of it as well.
he really does Berna numbers and there is a big chance he could become another Berna.
Regarding the refusal, yes he did, he asked to not select him after Roma said he is on the market.

Would appreciate a short answer in text form instead of a sad or wat reaction @Juve92

He's been mediocre to the bone for a good while. I just don't know what people see in him at this point and like to know what I'm missing.
I'm torn on the guy, pre-inury Zaniolo was a no brainer, currently he's a gamble. Totally

I guess it's time to realize we won't be able to do better than him. Cuadrado is too old to stick around and Di Maria will fuck off after this season for sure. That leaves us with 2 wingers for 433 (Allegri's preferred formation at the beginning of the season, before injuries happened): Chiesa and Soule.
With hard times ahead having Chiesa - Vlahovic - Zaniolo already looks like a miracle tbh. Even if we survive the juridical shitstorm unscratched, the club will keep the purse strings way tighter than in the past, so we can forget about more exiting names from abroad.
So in this sense Zaniolo fits the bill because in his current situation he seems to be affordable both in terms of salary and transfer fee.

If we're lucky in the next couple of months we don't lose any stars and only bums leave. In that case:

Chiesa/Kean - Vlahovic/Milik - Zaniolo/Soule
Pogba/Miretti - Locatelli/Rovella - Fagioli/Ranocchia?
?/Cambiaso - Danilo/Rugani - Bremer/Gatti - ?/MDS
Tek/Perin
You can put Illing and Kostic somewhere there because for sure Allegri will use 352 as well but couldn't be arsed to do it. Basically Zaniolo replaces Di Maria I guess.
Just my opinion based on current situation, feel free to disagree and think differently :)

BTW we've been linked to him for ages now, so I guess that's why he (Zaniolo) seems to be an obvious name, too.

Anyway, the whole Zaniolo thing started with this:

i hope whoever works at the club now remembers the name parisi

any guesses?

And it seems like we have the continuation of it now:

Basically Zaniolo agent contacted us and we haven't refused but the problem is dealing with Roma.

For 30 mill (it's nothing in todays market) it's a gamble worth taking. Not sure if you have watched him play this season but even after those heavy injuries, he still got the flair

He reminds me of a young Pogba
