it’s obvious Allegri doesn’t rate Kulu otherwise he would’ve been a starter once Chiesa went down. So if he’s just depth others can do the job.

He is just depth, and we need depth with only Berna as pure winger, since Cuadrado and Dybala main positions are RB and CF, besides the wing or AM role. We are a couple injuries away from having no depth in these positions.


@kao_ray we can say we want to use Soule and Ake, but it doesn't matter when there is no indication Allegri is interested in that? Their Juve careers together is like a combined 18 minutes. I would be shocked if we see anything more then over time subs or last few minutes appearances from either for rest of season.


So yeah Allegri doesn't like or rate Kulu, but he is a permanent senior team depth player who is there to be used in case of need or emergency. He has started several matches, to rest others or in case of injuries.


If we get rid of a CM we get Zakaria, which makes sense, if we get rid of Kulu, we need to get a winger or AM, atleast for depth. Or keep him til summer for depth.


Because if we just lose depth for the heck of it, then we are more likely just to see Rabiot and Mckennie as winger in our 442 or 433. Which is a horrifying proposition for a whole half season of play. Only plus side is us getting Vlaho means we can use Morata more as winger. Not natural there, but atleast ok.

Could be. However it's also worth keeping in mind that out of the players we don't mind selling, only Kulu and Bentancur have some real value. I don't believe we have an unlimited budget so with signings like Vlahovic you need some money to come in as well.

You would hope so, but we know Allegri... if he barely used them all season when stakes were less, his esteem of them and hence use of them will hardly be more in 2nd half of season when stakes will be higher and result driven.

He is more likely to narrow down the list of players he trusts to use after evaluating then over the course of the season so far. Youth players unlikely to make that imo.



So we could have a real depth concern imo.

yeah true but they could bring in a replacement on loan if they didn’t trust their internal options. I think Morata will see time on the wing but I also think Ake could get his shot. Soule is more raw I can’t see Allegri trusting him, but Ake has top flight experience so I don’t think it’s that crazy of a thought.

Danilo coming back will help alot. But doubt De Sciglio at RB will be long fixture. Cuadrado seems to spend his team 50/50 between winger and RB. RB whenever we go 433/4231, with McKennie/Rabiot as fake wingers with Berna as the other real winger. Wirh Cuadrado being an RB that gets to attack whole flank by himself.


Most likely an asymmetrical approach Allegri will likely to stick with. Since Kulu can't play left in this set up, he is seen only as Dybala sub basically.


But either way, if Cuadrado isn't available for right side (wether rb or rw), only Berna is real winger we have if we get rid of Kulu.
