At the moment we are playing a 4231, a formation that doesn’t require much attacking input from the 2 defensive midfielders. Even if we were to go for a 352, you want to have Locatelli as a b2b which is something we cant do at the moment because we have no one in the squad who can adequately replace Loca at that DM role.

this would be a tremendous improvement over the likes of Bentancur and Rabiot but I also see us improve the midfielder even further this summer.

Well zakaria is more interesting than Nandez I’ll say that, and if it frees up Loca to roam that’s all that really matters. I think Loca can be Allegros Pogba, he can score double digit goals, just needs to be further up.
