I remember journos like Agresti saying that we will get a midfielder this month, that talk has gone all quiet now. Are we even linked with anyone?

Think the talk was allways midfielder can come in if a midfielder leaves. But then everything preoccupied with striker talk, and seems like Arthur and Ramsey arent going anywhere, so harder to find space for a mid.

I dont understand how Morata is considered the future of this team, unless we absolutely have no other options.
Did I miss something?

Who consider Morata the future of this team?

The fact that he is staying (for the moment) is only because we can’t get a replacement, but that doesn’t mean that Morata is considered the future of this team.

I think the only chance to sign a MID is Zakaria via free transfer during the summer. I think, our hands will be tied till Arthur and Ramsey will leave during the summer, till no new MID.

It's not that we are broke, we aren't, but we have no viable plan. Just buying players again and again. CR7 is a great player, but we didn't have the team for him. MU don't either. We thought he will be the cherry on the cake, but the cake was rotting out already.

If Allegri is the chosen one for the next few years and he has a blueprint for the type of players and team tactics - we should start training those type of players in the academy. It would be at least 2-3 years before we should add top players to this team. Otherwise they would cost an arm and a leg and would want an insane salary just to keep quiet with no trophies. No point in doing that. I know CL is a cash cow, but we are in a constant loop of plugging gaps with meh players, just to make it to the CL again next year - a certain disaster in the long term.

No thanks, we already have a bunch of Berna and MDS-level players coming out of the youth teams. Get someone in there who knows how to develop young talent.

Well at the very least they could replace the Berna and MDS from our team, saving a few millions in the process. :)

I agree with you that Allegri looks more like a fruit squeezer, than a gardener - but it is what it is. Are we changing him too? Cause that certainly didn't help with Sarri and Pirlo. I am not against firing him tomorrow, but we need a plan and a person who we truly believe in. Since I know of nobody like that ... I have no other solutions.

They are all garbage, with the exception of Locatelli and McNuggets.

I'd deploy a 4-2-3-1 formation when everyone is fit, thereby bypassing the weak link, our midfield.

A 4-2-3-1 with Mcnuggets and Loca in a double pivot, Chiesa and Cuads flanking Morata/Kean and Dybala (when fit) or Kaio behind the lone striker.
I agree this is the best solution if fit. Thats not possible now but I think we are getting a little closer to that being possible

We literally changed management last summer and they only bought Locatelli... Let the past be the past.

Agresti on VS:

- In these hours, Arsenal will make a super offer to Fiorentina, Vlahovic and the agents already for January. Let's see if the player will open the door or not
- Someone asked if we're staying put this window, he said for him the market is not closed but Juve is not leaking any news so far

Failing to remember the past guarantees miserable future. Moreover are you sure Agnelli and Nedved(for example) have no input on our market strategy? Come on, man!

I don't want to be a jerk, but 'the past' the way you used it sounds to me like something that has no bearing on the present. For example Moggi and co. Seems to me such theory has no legs to stand on, yet.
