Agresti on VS:

- A striker will come on loan in January (in his opinion)
- Someone asked him if Icardi is the favorite for that position, he said there is no favorite right now. Icardi was closer in the summer. Juve like Scamacca and have investigated all possibilities from Martial to Aubameyang (wary because of the AFCON) and other names could still enter the speech. Also needs to be seen what happens with Kulu and Kaio. (Basically covering all bases)
- Sassuolo want 40m for Scamacca
- Someone asked if there is any hope for Vlahović and Agresti said (I quote):"Hard, hard, hard, hard, hard, hard, hard, hard, hard, very hard. " Also said Fiorentina want 80m
- Agresti is not very sure that McK will stay in the summer. If a good offer comes they will evaluate it. Sandro very hard to get rid of because of huge wages

We would struggle a lot more with Icardi than with Morata. Guys let’s not forget that our midfield is miserable, we’ve been relying a lot on Morata who drops back and creates. Icardi is basically a modern day Inzaghi, he’s a pure finisher, he needs to be provided. I seriously doubt that he will resolve some of our problems.

I really believe that we waste all our time and resources on finding a #9 every mercato. Unless the target is actually GOOD then just use Dybala there and strengthen the rest.

Watching the Amazon show and seeing Paratici have a mental breakdown to find a #9. Now if we get Icardi, that will give us four #9s that with a gun to your head, would you really pick them over Dybala (Morata, Icardi, Kean, Jorge)?

It's a zero sum game. If you play Icardi/Dyabla 2 strikers then Chiesa is in midfield, not attack. Is that really better than a 4-3-3 with Chiesa in attack and Dybala in the centre and using the time and resources to find a loan/purchase in CM?

First I applaud the effort to go through the Amazon series

Now on to real matters, Dybala is injured, bad timing to say he should be the #9. I agree that its dumb as shit that we don't fix the midfield before though, not a good look that we are consistently obsessing about a CF.

Like I've always said, if you are obsessing over a CF then buy a REAL GOOD one. Otherwise, it's pointless. Soon we'll end up with how many CFs?

So we are going to bench Morata for Icardi? Is there even a difference between the two? Wasting all our time and resources for what lol?

So let's not waste any more money on morata. Kean isn't a waste. Scamacca is more realistic.

Adjust your expectations for January and the summer market. It's going to be a long and painful journey of reading rumours of players that we all believe are not going to bring us back to CL glory overnight.

Shame about Vlahovic. He will most likely go to a prem club and Viola will sell him way above his initial value. Could have been a fantastic signing for us

If he's worth 40 then Vlahovic is surely worth 60-80mln price range

but yeah, I don't know how that pays off. We already have overpaid Morata, overpaid Kean, and now we need overpaid Scamacca? It seems our moves yet again reek quantity over quality.
Morty was fine with the loan move, as it seems we couldn’t afford a proper big money striker with Ronaldo on the books. 20 goals-12 assists last year was a very good return for a 10 mil loan and 5 mil net wages. If we kept Ronaldo it would be fine having him again as rotation piece on reasonable wages again this year before shipping him off.

However, it’s ridiculous we allowed the Ronaldo situation develop to the point he didn’t leave until season was started and mercato was basically over. If we knew Ronaldo was leaving in June, we could have shipped him off, not renewed Morty loan and brought in a top young striker like Vlahovic. Terrible planning all around really.

And it’s crazy that we didn’t loan/sell one of Rabiot, Ramsey or Bentancur
