We sold Zidane for Buffon, Thuram, and Nedved who stayed with us until their career ends, three amazing players even though Zidane was also a great player. We can do the same with De Ligt and this is a defender we're talking about here. We could sacrifice him for Vlahovic and a great midfielder given that we could get over 100M for De Ligt.
Just ask the 150 million yes. Vlahovic+Tchouameni and get Romero back. With the selling of an Alex Sandro and Bentancur-Rabiot we can reinforce at some other places.

We will probably accept 85M given the market and our situation...
I agree with the Zidane for three players thing and MDL is not even a Zidane so for that money they would actually give us some good headache

The Fat bastard wants new contract and lower clause for MDL. We are not getting more than 70-80m in current Covid situation. If MDL goes to Chelsea we should try to involve Saul or Pulisic + 30-40m.

I think I saw Chelsea and City as the possible candidates so if its Chelsea I wouldnt mind Kante in a swap.
If its City then I guess we will try for G.Jesus although I rather we just spend it on Vlahovic who is more of a finisher compared to G.J

I understand what you mean if we sign Scamacca we’re going to give him and Kean a huge responsibility. It would be doable if Dybala and Chiesa provided us a bit more

Scamacca is a interesting profile and I think his style would fit us very well, and that even Kean - Scamacca should be able to work at a certain point, it’s inevitable that they will play together in a busy schedule.

He doesn’t provide any certainties which we need. Difficult decision if it’s true that we can’t get Vlahovic
I think you are overrating both Scamacca and Kean

De Ligt has a contract and we don't have to sell, we call the shots now so offer him to PSG for the highest amount of cash. He can ride the bench if he doesn't like it but no way we take below 100M just because he wants out regardless of COVID, nobody going to give us a COVID discount when we come calling.

We must have had at least 3 or 4 chances to buy Scamacca and now that he's 40M we're interested. Just a comedy.

We were all on this forum talking about him when he was at Ascoli and Sassuolo bought him for 5M...

Even if we all didn't agree whether he would turn out or not, an Italian striker with that size and skill for 5M...

Meh Scamacca is nothing inspiring. As I said earlier if Vlahovic is not possible go for a player like Schick, he might be next top striker.

I think some need to lower their expectations in terms of what we can actually do in the market. We cant wait for young players to explode and expect to then compete with richer clubs e.g. vlahovic.

We need to rebuild and we have no cash...so we need to find talent before it explodes and becomes above our buying capability. By default this creates risk.

Some need to take a reality pill,.

It’s difficult to understand what we should expect. We’ve been cutting so much in the squad with Ronaldo, Higuain etc out, and there’s still so much room for improvement that you’d expect some financial freedom. At the other side, EL seems realistic and that would have its financial consequences.

But if we do go all-in on merely younger, unproven players than its time to reset the standards for a few years, as it seems likely that we need some time in order to grow.

But that's where we are at right? We made poor decisions years ago that have crippled us on field and covid has crippled us off field. It's a sad reality that has put us in a position where we can't afford proven star players.

We need to accept that we had 9 successful seasons in Italy, and finished runners up twice in the CL. Now we need to start planning for the future and we need to live within our means as a club and plant the seeds for a sustainable and successful future. It's shit that we need to hit the reset button but it is what it is.

We have no choice yet again to look at freebies, and some available are are actually good players and not as shit as our previous choices. Whatever money is available for the market needs to be spent on players who are ready to take their game to the next level. In addition, we need to work on magic type deals, long loan options with option to buy. Also, we need to seriously invest faith and time in some of our loaned out players who are showing real promise.

If the above means the scudetto gets shared around by the milan clubs, hopefully napoli and atalanta get their chance as well..meanwhile we build a beast of a team then I'm fine with this. At least we are not trying to find bandaid type fixes which don't work..e.g. ramsey.

Tchouameni is EPL or Real Madrid bound, sadly. I don't think he wants to move to Italy, so he's more difficult to acquire than Vlahovic. We can try for Babacar, who is a very solid eclectic player for Marseille, and who has an expiring contract.

It wasn't too long ago I was thinking how we don't have to worry about our CB situation for the next ten years as we were stacked with Chellini, Bonnuci, Dr Ligt, Demiral, Romero and Dragusin.

What a joke.
