The chance of Romagnoli and Milan not finding an agreement is high, as he is demanding 5-6 million euros annual salary Juventus are ready to accept his demands and could make a first move to bring the defender in on a free transfer soon.(Gazzetta)

First of all, he's not young. He was young when Milan bought him for 25m 6 (!) years ago. The truth is he hasn't fulfilled his potential and was benched by Kjaer and Tomori recently.
You can have plenty of defenders at a similar level for half the salary if not less.
People have short memories before his injury problems he was good and dont understand this penny pinching after ronaldo left dybala has been useless for the past five years yet we will offer him 10 million euros for the next four years

How much is deligt getting paid? How many more minutes has he played last year? And how much better is he than romagnoli?
Last season de Ligt had 2970 minutes while Romagnoli played 2640. As far as I know de Ligt is getting 7.5mln/season but some iirc mentioned bonuses that go up to 10mln overall or something like that

In my opinion MDL is at least one class above Romagnoli already, especially at 1 vs 1. Not to mention he's playing his 4th season in the CL and is a starter for Netherlands. Whereas Romagnoli has only Serie A experience and was never considered a starter for Mancini who basically gave a chance to every half decent Italian.

Inter and Nicolò Barella are far from reaching an agreement over a renewal and Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid are now monitoring his situation at San Siro.

Il Corriere dello Sport reports the player’s agent Alessandro Beltrami has asked for more than €6m a season, as a reward for the Sardinian’s contribution so far.
Inter are currently not willing to arrive at those heights, as the newspaper claims the Nerazzurri are offering between €4m and €4.5m.

FI

We should swoop in even though I doubt he'd want to move here

The marginal difference in quality doesn't justify the wage difference not to mention that if we swap de ligt with romagnoli we can potentially have 150 mil to work with, thats sms, vlahovic, and another player
