Talks continuing between Juve & Atletico Madrid, the aim from Juve’s side is to lower the €35M fee for Morata. There was a gentleman agreement between Paratici and atletico madrid to sign Morata in 2022 as his contract expires in 2023.(Tuttopsort)
Wouldnt be surprised to see us acquire Morata (a player who no-one wants now other than us) for 35M.

Fuck Schnitzel. Like seriously, what's this obsession with expired geezers? Schnitzel is already 32 years old, so he's not going to grow or develop any further. Yes, he has experience, and yes he's better than 80% of our mids, but that's not saying much. We should be doing a lot better than Dortmund's expired goods package.

Midfield is vital, and continuing to make these makeshift (or makeshit as I like to call them) signings will not improve us long term.

Quality mids with expiring contracts in 2022 and 2023?

Here's the list for 2022:
Pogba
Kamara
Zakaria

Here's the list for 2023:
Tielemans
Gravenberch
Fabian Ruiz
Rayan Cherki
Gedson Fernandes

There are many more, but some seem unrealistic (they'll probably renew) and some aren't good enough. Our own UltimateJabroni Fagiot has a contract expiring in 2023 (thank fuck).

That's the overall cost of the transfer.
C’mon. We don’t count wages for every transfer we make. And given that he’s only on 5 mil net, he’s a bargain contract in this squad. He had 32 goal+ assist contributions last season in 2823 minutes. I don’t think we should make his deal permanent, he’s not good enough to lead our line, but the wages we paid him were very fair for what he offered us on the pitch. Needs to do the same this year. And then we shouldn’t take up the option. 55mil overall transfer fee for him is way too much.

Hey, you mistook my comment.
I'm not dunking on him. Far from it. I only wanted to point out that he doesn't deserve another 35 million and salary wise it's debateble. I would certainly not give 5 or 5.5 million to a rotational/bench player.
Juve should scrap their current MO salary wise.

Agree with this then. Would rather young, hungry, low wage players with lots of potential on the bench. He’s getting up towards 30 now. No need for such players on our bench.

What a colossal waste of money this would be.

I disagree.

I think when you see how we played without Dybala and how we play with him, its night and day how we play when we have ACTUAL attacking threats up top. Chiesa pulls defenders to him. Dybala pulls defenders too him.

Morata is a walking offsides flag and is given a lot of room to be offsides.

Watching our matches, so much of our final third issues come from ineffective strikers. A true attacker to score goals for us in Serie A and CL would go a long way. We haven't had a true striker in awhile.
We have spent over 350m on attacking players going back to Dybala, Mandžukić, Higuain, Ronaldo, Kulusevski, Chiesa, Morata loan, Kean etc. Meanwhile we have spent maybe a 100-150m including the Arthur-Pjanić swap. Kind of telling.

Get the midfield in order first, then spend more on attack.

This Zakaria kid just looks like a bigger Matuidi lol
He's nowhere near lmao. If Matuidi attempted any of the dribbles in tight spaces Zakaria has in his locker or tried carrying the ball forward while dribbling past people he'd break both his legs in half.

Matuidi was just a runner. He was never a great tackler, never fast enough, never passed more than the closest man, never could carry the ball out of the defense etc. He was smart in his movement and positioning, that was it. Still a good player, but Zakaria is just much better technically, athletically, taller, stronger etc.

He is much closer to Pogba/SMS type of player than Matuidi. He's neither one but if you're set on comparing Matuidi isn't it

Zakaria seems like a logical choice, and if we can't get Tchouameni, we should really go for Gravenberch - the kid is a baller with an expiring contract, and the further Ajax go in the competition, the more in demand he will become. Yes, I am aware the fat cunt is his agent, but perhaps we can secure an option on the kid for the summer of 2022 (offer Ajax 30 million since his contract expires in 2023).

One of Zakaria and Babacar (who can also be deployed as a CB), potentially on a free, is an opportunity we should not pass up on.

There are so many talents in Ligue 1, Portugal, and The Netherlands. Even if our scouts are too lazy to be doing their job and exploring the markets in South America and Eastern Europe, there is no excuse for going for the lazy option in Schnitzel.

fat cunt is actually an advantage now. he's easy to deal with. expensive, but easy.
