I kinda like Osvaldo and another loan wouldn't be the end of the world.

There I said it. :snoop:
Hell I tried to defend when we first bought him because he was good in the past. But he showed nothing here.. :D

but we can't blame the man who "delivered 3 scudetti to us!"
Yeah criticizing the big Marotta is forbidden. He's the man who makes no mistakes :p

The problem in my opinion is not that you blame Marotta, the problem is that according to you, nothing is going right at Juve while, actually, we are still in CL, still in the Coppa Italia and still leading SerieA.
Can't be that bad, but I feel like you only see the negatives and think that on the transfer front, we can still compete with the big clubs as we could pre 2006.

just my 2 cents.

Saying that I'd be mad if we don't try for Schar.

Basel defender Fabian Schar has encouraged links to Inter, describing the Nerazzurri as ‘an ideal destination’.

The Swiss centre-back has been linked with a move to San Siro after impressing for his country in the summer’s World Cup.

“I’ve read the market rumours, they’re normal at this time,” Schar admitted in an interview with Blick.

“I can say that without a doubt I think Inter are a top club, perfect. That would be an ideal destination.

“However, I have a contract which ties me to Basel and I’m very happy here. At the moment I’m not thinking about anything else.”

so explain to me how signing osvaldo even on loan is a step up for us? explain to me who out of our summer signings have actually improved our starting 11 from last season? we're not progressing, if anything we're going sideways!

he's not thinking about it yet he is encouraging the idea of moving to inter?

all I want now in january is that Allegri rotates the team more and start some games with Morata and Coman FFS. He's not developing the guys well enough.

Also what I want is health. With Padoin being able to fill in the LB position decently, with everybody healthy we'd have decent depth:

Storari - Caceres, Barzagli, Ogbonna, Padoin - Asamoah, Romulo, Pereyra - Coman, Giovinco, Morata

Did I say somewhere Osvaldo is a good signing?
Did I say somewhere we took a step up during the summer?
Although I do believe the quality of our bench has improved a lot, which, looking at what was on our bench, is also important. But I agree, our starting 11 hasn't improved last summer and we are still in the CL, unlike last season so that is an improvement.

Then again, I wonder what your expectations are for us?
1) Going for the title -> still possible
2) Reaching the QF of the CL -> Still possible
3) Winning the Coppa Italia -> You got it, still possible

If you think we have everything what it takes to challenge the big clubs in Europe (for players and for awards), then I think your expectation level just is too high.
SerieA, Juve, Italy just isn't attractive anymore to the big names or for the young talented ones that can also choose other teams above Juve.
Especially not after our CL campaign of last season so to me, it was no surprise that we didn't sign players like Jovetic, Falcao and so on.

I am not saying it can't be better or that I don't want to see the really big names in a Juve shirt, but for now, we just have to be realistic and acknowledge that, whoever the transfer guru will be, they won't be coming unless something really big changes with regard to the financial situation in Juve, SerieA and Italy.

nope I never said I expect us to be challenging for the CL but at the same time we ought to be growing in quality by now, if the board are merely satisfied by winning the league and making it to the knockout stages of the CL every year then we are not growing. If all we do is spend a large chunk of our budget on squad players and not improving the quality of the squad then marotta has got to shoulder the blame. I can almost no longer accept this excuse about the 'financial situation' when we spend 13 mill on the likes of ogbonna, 15 mill on pereyra and 20+ mill on morata just to sit on our bench! we should be beyond that stage now and I have never hidden my disappointment regarding last summer's transfers and I wouldn't be surprised to be in for something similar again this summer as we have already assigned a chunk of our budget to pay for these 'option' deals

Is there anyone who thinks otherwise? :D
Not particularly keen on another CB but if we are buying another CB,i'd hope it be of reasonable quality atleast.
I feel like we've committed towards Rugani just like how we've committed ourselves towards Berardi which is maybe stopping us from making other moves and i dont entirely agree with that line of thinking imo.

I rate Schär very highly. I saw him a dozen of times in the stadium and I'm a big admirer of him. He has a huge potential and he is a great defender with very good passing skills! Would be a shame if we lose out on him and he would go to inter...
