We should look for more "bargain" deals. It is always a great idea to offer handouts to those in need. What other players are looking to leave their respective clubs? Perhaps we can assist them.

How the fuck are Inter able to afford Shaqiri (considering they aren't compliant with FFP rules and are out of Europe as things stand) whereas we aren't? Do our board seriously think Sneijder is a better option? :howler:

shaqiri and sneijder are apples and oranges pal..if we chose one over the other its for a specific need...if you want winger then probably summer time for that...shaqiri has no significant history of footballing IQ to play TQ

Reading news that Shaqiri has decided to join Inter.

*Awaits responses saying 'he was always $#@!,overrated' etc etc(and from the same people praising his signing nonetheless),now that he's out of Juve's sight.

He's no messiah, just felt he's the best we could realistically afford but we better have someone good lined up for the summer and no,i am not talking about a raw and inexperienced Berardi.
Picked merda? How could he pick Juve if they went for Sneijder? You choose from what you have. Great move for merda if true, we'll regret this :frown:

I mean he chose Inter over Liverpool not us,its on GDS and CDS frontpage.

As usual we went with the cheapest option i.e Sneijder.

Wait... wait... wait a fucking second.

He actually chose Inter?
Well in his defence, the other option was Liverpool :D

Also if Inter do sign him, that must mean they are selling at least one of their top players (Icardi, Kovacic)

Oh man! If this is true, then Marotta needs to go. There's no excuses left for the chump.

If the news of us signing Sneijder for the period of 1,5 years are true, then he's temporary solution by all means. With that I'd have no issues. Think of it as a long term loan, until better opportunity comes along.

Until a better opportunity comes along? You mean, we bought a 15M player which could be deployed as a CAM last Summer and now we're temporarily upgrading that position with a has-been after just 6 months until a better player comes available? Is this how you're trying to justify this move?

We did buy someone for 15M? That's news to me.

Difference between a loan and purchase is still unfamiliar concept to some.

Pereyra was always going to be back up player here. His lack of end product is shocking, and we'd need more quality for that spot if we're looking to seriously compete in Europe. It was a loan with an option to buy, option that we might not excercise in the end, depending on his performances. Nevertheless, 15m seems to be a random price for mediocre players, therefore his price isn't exaggerated in today's market.

I just can't continue this discussion with a serious face.

So in less than year, we're gonna buy 3 players for that position; Pereyra -> Sneijder -> (another random douche) next Summer? Is this what you call smart business?

How is what you say justifiable? Since when do we buy mediocre players? Marotta doesn't do option to buy with Udinese. He will buy Pereyra come Summer. It has nothing to do with his mediocre performances.

The question is whether we had 15m to play with this winter. All report suggest that we offered a loan deal with an obligation to buy next summer, when assumably we'd be able to meet Bayern's asking price.
But there is no question if we'll have 15M next Summer for Pereyra. :touched:
