Problem is if you want the player to play UCL, the Universe is small and the only affordable players are the Diamanti's of the world because the combination of a player not being cup-tied and the seller being willing to offload a serviceable player in January results in a very small list of players. If you want a player like Juan Mata, it won't be cheap.

It's pretty easy to figure out. We have 6 non-italian starters right now, which is a disgrace for our ItalJuve plan. The answer is:
The Bad: He's good, but not great. He is probably also better in a wide position.
The Ugly: The price Lolito will command.
I don't think our management think Candreva is overrated. Luckily they'll never pay what Lotito will ask for so we're safe.
I think we have a chance and should go for Shaqiri. The fucker won't be able to play in CL though. He'd be an improvement I guess and should be in our price range.

I think Candreva is definitely Juve caliber, but as a good squad player, rather than as a critical piece. Unfortunately, I would only buy him under 2 conditions:
-We're playing a formation that requires a wide player like Candreva.
-He costs 20MM EUR or less.
Neither will be the case so it's a non starter. He strikes me as a perfect 4-4-2 player.

Candreva would be decent not gonna lie, not because he's great but because we're fucking slow and can't service Llorente with crosses even if I don't rate Llorente having a 6'5 guy up front not named Ibra is fucking stupid if you can't put in even 1 proper high cross per game from open play. But not for over 20M.
