What about Felipe from Chelsea, he barely plays. Maybe he could be an option in the summer
hes a great player, i doubt Mourinho would let him go.

u would have laughted if we got gervinho from arsenal 2 years ago, same would apply with nani.
I am simply saying it cause poeple think that if we buy a mediocre player they will suddenly be great here.
like this for example?

Tello is the one GDM was talking about. Also GDM said yesterday that given the switch to the back 4 we aren't after centerbacks, but he also mentioned that the two acquisitions he could see us getting in the winter mercato are tello and montoya.

:sergio: why is everyone mentioning Montoya? i dont see anything special in that guy. and no CBs? i hope GDM is wrong once again

Eriksen woundnt be cup tied also. a player cannot play for 2 teams in one CL season, EL is fine. but you can add only one player. Real Madrid for example signed Huntelaar and Lassana Diarra :D in 2009 half season. both played for some other team that season in EL. they coulndt register both so they chose to add Diarra to their CL list while using Huntelaar only for La Liga. so aslong as Eriksen would be the only player that played in EL already this season we add to our CL list, it would be OK

the guy renewed until 2017 with Barca for a release clause of around 35M

check his thread. there were some posts describing him and his qualities
With Munir, wasn't suggesting we purchase him...was just highlighting an example of how few 18-19 year olds are starters for major clubs. Basically the only mainstay guy is Raheem Sterling.

Also, on EL/UCL eligibility, where did you see that? I thought that was the case too, but then I was digging and everything I read seemed to imply that a player cannot play for more than one team in any European competition other than Supercup, except for in two cases:
    a) If the player's previous team is eliminated before the group stage of EL or UCL, the player can play in the group stage with his new team.
    b) if he doesn't feature in a match.

Maybe I'm interpreting wrong, but if my interpretation is not mistaken, that really hurts our choices - as I mentioned before we'd basically be limited to Van Der Vaart, Diamanti, Candreva, Firmino, and Mata.

If it's not Schär or Balanta i don't want any cb's this winter
we need fullbacks! Damian would be perfect, as he can cover both sides, but probably to expensive

i didnt read it anywhere, i heard it from a commentator back then and remembered it. you're right probably. thats the official UEFA page and if it says so then it is true. maybe they changed the rule in the pas few years, i know what i heard :D

about our targets, it doesent really have to be strictly an AM. i liked the mix of 4-3-3/1-2/2-1 Allegri was using. a perfect player for that would be someone who can be used as an AM, while still capable of playing out wide, preferably a left footed right winger (Shaqiri, Lamela etc.) that way we would have a great mobile (when Morata plays, not with Llorente :D) offensive trio that has lots of movements, can change positions constantly and is technically good and fast/pacey, and confuse the opponents defense that way. thats why i like Morata and Coman. they both can play centrally but also drift out wide and create something. players with similar characteristics are what we need to look at. Shaqiri would be great but is sadly cup tied. since there arent many options out there id say wait till the summer and play Pereyra/Vidal/Coman/Gio until then...

Yeah I tend to agree with that. Probably best to save the big bucks for the summer, especially given that teams are less inclined to derail their teams during the year.

One thing I was thinking about was Van Der Vaart. I'm kind of mixed on it. He is clearly in decline, and not the player he was, but he is out of contract at season end. He could probably be had on a loan for next to nothing. The risk is ~1-2MM EUR for the loan for half a year on a player who isn't cup-tied. Best case he performs and can play as the CAM in our 4-3-1-2, and add value in the knockout stage. Worst case, he is a waste of 1-2MM EUR. He also happens to be a left footed shot, which gives us two very dangerous players from both sides on set-pieces. He could also probably suit the right-sided inside forward position if he performs, but thats a big if...

He is by no means my first choice, and I wouldn't be inclined to keep him past the 3-4 months, but for the right price he may be a decent purchase at a low price with little risk, and then you save the strategic purchase (ie: Shaqiri/Eriksen) for the summer.

Although he doesn't really suit your preference for mobility haha. I understand he's not particularly pacy. Plus, let's be honest, that's a typical Marotta transfer, except he isn't on a provincial team.

well, it depends really. is he willing to leave HSV and what his ambitions are. money? competing? returning home (Ajax)? he is not that old really, 31 is nothing. the question is, how fit and in shape is he. always liked him as a player and wanted him here when he was one of the best BL players back then before we got Diego. i wouldnt mind him as a loan for the rest of the season actually. but i seriously doubt it. considering the names popping up, we arent after an offensive player (AM/winger) at all and we have other priorities this winter. Allegri is probably happy with what he has currently at that position. we could add max. 2 players this winter, a defender and Kramaric or only a defender. from all the news that is most likely to happen. but who knows, maybe Marotta has a surprise linked up (like Vucinic-Guarin last winter :D)

I never followed him that closely, but looking at his numbers at Tottenham, he seemed to really chip in many ways - tackling, goals, assists, passing. He's absolutely adored by fans of that team. He does seem to be pretty terrible at Hamburg this year unfortunately.
