I would honestly rather sign Sneijder for 10 million Euro or so than sign many of the players we are linked with for a lot more.
The argument the youngsters wont play if we sign him may not be true given the fact we will be committed to using 3 attackers if we get him so it would more likely be Bonucci to hit the bench with players like Coman and Berardi (in the future) being backups for Tevez and Wesley.
We can't really depend on an 18 year old Coman (who wont turn 19 till next summer) to lead us to CL glory. We need to bring him in to the fold gradually and he can eventually become the superstar we all want him to be.
As for Wesley's Inter past, I love the fact we re taking one of the best players to ever play for them. It will devastate Inter fans and show how low they have become when Wesley, Tevez, Pirlo, Vidal, Pogba are putting on our shirt and Palacio, Icardi, Osvaldo, and loads of other $#@!ty players are putting on their jersey.

But IMO that's not the worst about Sneijder. It's the fact he's not the type of player we need. Against Parma we didn't really play 4312 if you didn't noticed. Sneijder is a very central player, always sticking to the middle. If we get him and field along with Pirlo, Tevez and Llorente it'll turn into a very narrow formation in practice. What we need for the AM role is someone like Berardi/Shaqiri/Iturbe or Reus is we're talking about ideal world. Someone who will operate between midfield and attack playing in the middle but also on the wings to stretch the play. Someone capable of making runs behind defenses as well as going with the ball on defenders to create space and advantage. Sneijder doesn't offer that. Pereyra/Coman/Giovinco do. They're more than enough for us to win scudetto again and as for CL Sneijder wouldn't be able to play anyway (he wouldn't help us anyway IMO).
I'm against this route. Let's not hire old fashioned players because they won't take us any further. The game is changing quickly those last couple of years. We need to follow it or we'll never make any impact in Europe with narrow formations like 352 or 4312 you propose. Today's game is a lot quicker than it used to be and we rather have to move on from players like Sneijder and Pirlo rather than hiring them. We may play now 4312 or rather 4321 but in longer term we have to go to a winger based formation. We need wide players no matter the formation. Then you just move Shaqiri/Berardi/Coman/<put a name here you want> which makes it easier for us in future. You won't use Sneijder anywhere else tho.
