Van Persie so far this season seems like he is done. A lot of United fans are not happy with him and his performances.

If ManU use the buy option for Falcao it would be a great chance to sign Van Persie for the following reasons.

1. Falcao will bench Van Persie for sure
2. ManU could use the RvP money to pay the 45m of Falcao
3. At 32 there aren't many teams willing to give him huge salary, so 5m a year could be enough.
4. Skilled players are very useful and last longer in our league, example Di Natale

Juve target Luisao and Abate

It’s reported Juventus are targeting Benfica defender Luisao in January and Milan full-back Ignazio Abate next summer.

The Bianconeri had already been close to Luisao last month, but Benfica slammed the door on any potential move and publicly complained about the approach.

According to Sport Mediaset, Juve are confident the Portuguese club will be more open to an offer worth €3m in January if they go out of the Champions League.

This is particularly true as Luisao turns 34 in February, but he has been in Lisbon since 2003.

The Turin giants are also working towards next season, as Stephan Lichtsteiner’s contract renewal negotiations are dragging on.

Sport Mediaset insist the most likely replacement for the 'Swiss Express’ is versatile Milan man Abate.

He has already worked with Coach Massimiliano Allegri at San Siro and can play either as a right-back or a wing-back.

Abate’s contract with Milan expires at the end of the season, so the 27-year-old Italy international would be a free agent.

He's had a very good campaign so far, providing four assists in as many Serie A games.

Now all that would make (some) sense. We're not extending Giovinco's contract because we'll replace him with Berardi (most probably) next Summer. He wants 2.5m so it makes sense not to renew the deal. Licht wants 3.5m and Juve didn't renew his deal so far. Is management planning on replacing him with (cheaper and younger) Abate?
