First, thanks for explaining your opinion. Second, I know pereyra started as a winger, but currently he is a CM and that's where he can perform best. Di maria is the exact opposit. I still believe Di maria is not great while playing as a CM, but he is WC on the wing.

If you wanna speak overall (overall contribution to the team, quality added, etc ...) it's pretty clear there is no way pereyra would come even close.

You DO realize that Di Maria played first half of last season as winger, and though he is quality, his decision making and finishing was too erratic at times for him to be full time consistent starter then, but as soon as he was moved to CM midway into the season by Ancelotti, he absolutely went into God midfielder mode and became Reals most vital player? (he made a HUGE difference and became the teams engine) All of 2014 he was playing as CM in 3 man midfield, on the left mainly bit with freedom to move all over, his enegetic style was like match made in heaven for that role.


Watch this, and notice how much of it is he in his usual right wing role?
