we dont have any starting attacking mids, all we have is prospects. It's funny you mention falcao, since we didnt 'need' him, yet went for him, whys that? But i do agree that we desperately need help defensively i just dont agree that us getting mata on loan with option to buy excludes it.

While he is somewhat tactically flexible, I seem to have read that everything he does revolves around a three man midfield. So it'll probably be variations in that theme.

I'm fine with Bonucci aslong as we keep playing 3-5-2, if we change it permanently, then we need to reconsider our plans for him (as a starter). Not that its that final, depends on how the coach sets up the team in a 4 man defence, but Bonucci gets twice more coverage/assistance in the set up thats tailor made for him, then how he was in 4 man defence previously, where he has to fully focus on...defending in smaller spaces and one less player next to him to close down space.

I prefer Silva in overall, but Silva has underperformed for 2 seasons in a row and gets no flack for it. Mata gets unfairly treated by Mourinho and he is suddenly a nobody, and not the one assisting and scoring 40 goals anymore.
