I'm not sure I trust Osvaldo under Allegri. As a 5th striker we could and have done worse, but I don't really see why we need one unless the ant is leaving now.
I tend to agree with this.

Nonetheless, I am certain that Marotta and co are in somewhat of a quandary as what to to between now and 11pm on Feb 2ns 2015.

On the one hand we seem to be coasting along fine with a +7 point lead in Serie A and there would be a strong argument to favour the status quo with no signings other than Sturaro coming back next week. The likelihood of a bid between now and next week for PP is microscopically small, so no need to panic.

On the other hand, there are some who would argue that we need to strengthen the squad before this winter window closes in order to improve our prospects against Dortmund - and hopefully beyond - in the Champions League. In this regard, I'd argue that we need to acquire another striker that has better talents than Zaza, Osvaldo and Pazzini. Whilst I acknowledge that Winter tranfer negotiations ate a lot trickier than the ones in Summer, nevertheless there will be suitable targets out there in the €12m - €20m price bracket. That said, I'm not at all sure that Agnelli is too keen to commit because he ( and Marotta, Patrici & co) will be weighing up the main task of rebuilding the squad in the Summer. after the sale of Paul Pogba to a club like RM, Chelsea or PSG when decision making is more clear cut.

you are too quick to let Pogba go this whole sham is made by raiola we have no need to sell him and we can raise his salary not as much as other clubs like real, psg, chelsea or city but to a reasonable level. We can give him 10 mil per season but other players will demand a raise and we'll become the next inter(merda) team with overblown salaries and our finances will suffer. I think if he's willing to win everything with Juventus and he'll leave only if he want not that snake of an agent of his. As for this mercato i think we are fine like this if they are willing to bring zaza(he'll be a huge flop if he comes and we'll have to overpay him) or osvaldo or some other mediocre player who brings nothing to the table and will only reduce playing time for the likes of Coman, Morata and others who need to improve.
