We're the absolute worst in football though. Even if Basketball/Baseball we're okay, but not great.

Biggest reasons:
1) Our best athletes go into hockey. Usually our players will play hockey throughout the winter season, and soccer through the summer. Hockey always becomes the priority. Our 10th string national team in hockey probably competes in the olympics. That is how deep we are in hockey. It's kind of silly.
2) Our football infrastructure is hilariously bad. Its run by a group of idiots that are put in charge because they have english accents but really don't know anything. These are people who are already rejected by a mediocre football nation in England. It's kick and run to a whole new low.
and yet for more than 20 years NHL was not won by a canadian team :D

that doesn't make sense, most of the teams that won had rosters full of Canadians. Stop mixing vodka and Pepsi. :D

Ok this is not made up:

My uncle has had his daughter in football since she was a kid, and he's progressively gotten more frustrated at of the English incumbents who know nothing and are just collecting their cheques.

There was one instance where his his team hired a coach from England who clearly wasn't actually a coach. He was perceived as an authority due to his accent. He told the kids to train without their shoes & socks because kids in Brazil did that...

Yeah I'm pretty sure the first team captained by a European to win a championship was very recent. Lidstrom in 2008, I believe.

He says we tried to get Cagliari's half of Nainggolan by loaning them Neto(swap for Gio)+cash but it didn't work out.

Firimino isn't going to come as cheap as Jovetic potentially could if they are forced to get players off their books. Ze Germans don't need to sell him.

The other guy, sure why not.
yeah but we're selling Pogba, let's get a player who can play most games as a starter. :numnum:

THIS IS HAPPENING! Last summer I met a guy from Brazil when I was there, he is old friend of Paulinho and I am still in touch with him, he even told me he can introduce me to Paulinho )

Paulinho is a huge Del Piero fan, his dream is to join Juve, if Tottenham agree with Juve, Paulinho would sign whatever contract Juve offers! He even showed me (when I was in Brazil) Paulinho pics in Juve jersey when he was a kid, he always played football on streets with Juve shirt on <3
