It's spot on actually, we shall not be pessimistic regarding Juve, ever.

Damn right we will be the greatest again )

we have to be smart in our transfers though and not go for every diego, van der vaart, mascherano, aguero and lahm out there. rather, we should go for less established players like the successful juve we all know has. players such as giovinco, marchisio, de ceglie, zapata and cigarini. not saying we can't get diego and mascherano but we shouldn't go for too many stars. young unestablished players with lots of hunger will win more for you than rich, famous, arrogant stars. also, a lot of italians is never a bad thing, they always understand what juve is about and how much winning means here. plus, they aren't normally chokers (like the argies :D).

I think we will be successful. Things take time, and I am not expecting us to win Serie A first time back, but I want us to beat sides like Catania etc and not look like fools against them.

I believe that we will properly compete for Serie A in another two seasons, depending on how we progress and we can be back to our best in four or five years. All of that depends on whether we take the smart routes or not.

Anyone know when the new stadium is set to be made and complete?

We will become successful again in 3-4 years from now and i m confident we will win the third star in the next couple of decades.
But we wont be the Juve were right before calciopoli, a dominant team In Italy, a team with an abundance of world class champions, one of Europe's top teams.
A team with a perfect financial balance and full of professional, high class, managerial staff!
We can reach the top sometime and win a few scudettis, but to maintain there we have to be really good and efficient,at every sector!
We have to face great competition and be 110% efficient, i cant see this happening as long as Berlu and Moratti are around and we have no one on helm...

Of course we will, like some others said, it might take us some 3-4 more years, but we will be back ending on top and challiging for the cl in time.
No matter what, Juve still is a big name in football, and assuming we will reach cl this season or the next, you will see us improving year after year.

The typical successful Juve of the 90s was a solid base of Italian players whether they made the NT or not, and some foreign players.

We need players who want to play for the shirt and to have that fighting spirit on the pitch. Peruzzi was an average 'keeper, but when Juve got him he gave a 110%, for a short guy he impressed everybody! We had Edgar Davids, Tacchinardi, and Deschamps himself were examples of such players in our midfield. Players who didn't show off much, but who's presence was critical.

Then you have some "average-who-gets-the-job-done" players who's presence was crucial like - Birindelli, Sergio Porrini, Iuliano (who started off poorly with us)...

Juve never bought any "super stars" - Zidane was made into a superstar at Juve. Can't say the same about Nedved, as he was a key-player at Lazio.

We need a management, and a coach that can do that with our players, and also select the right players who fit in perfectly with whatever system they are trying to apply.

Ranieri's first season - injuries, experimenting, rebuilding, re-emerging - this is all part of the post-calciopoli phase we are in. I'm not too sure if our transfers + match-results on the pitch qualify for an argument on mismanagement (reference to the anti-Secco anti-Ranieri avatars!). No doubt, we are getting fed up with the choice of players we're linked to, and who are actually arriving. But Secco isn't the same as Moggi, he doesn't have the same relationships and influence with other top executives at various clubs.

Not only are the players on the pitch in the first team, and primavera team rebuilding, but also in the admin.

I think we should be patient. Our defense right now is porous, and the injuries aren't helping, but we should thank God we're not losing games like 4-0, and 5-0 in a row to the extent that something is seriously wrong and must be addressed immediately.

I'm not saying that should happen for me to say "Ranieri Vattene" or "Die Secco"...Two things will critically show how Juve's short-term future plays out. Basically for those who are impatient and want results ASAP - wait for

1.) THe season to finish, whether we qualify for CL or not

2.) More importantly, IMO, the summer transfers. We need at least one superstar creative player, and a few of those clever/smart transfers.

If these two play out the way we want them to i.e. finish 1st-4th; and Diego, VdV, Giovinco, Marchisio return, ...2-3 defenders!!

Let's also add the random #3 factor which could be anything like, Lippi rejoining, or some major change in Juve-Management, or Inter going bankrupt and selling all their players :D

I say be patient guys. I was slowly on the anti-Ranieri bandwagon, but not just yet. Not really "die Secco" either, but it's safe to say he has shit taste in players. lol

My thoughts?

Chill. It's our first year back in Serie A after we shed half of our best players and got fined up the wazoo. It isn't going to happen overnight.

In a nutshell. We are all eagerly looking forward to seeing the old-stile-Juve, but it can't happen that quick. We're gonna have to put up with these results and performances for now, till we come up with a promising and reliable group of players.

Till then...:scarf:

the biggest problem we have currently is the board. Secco and co. think that they should decide which players to buy and which players may be good for the team. They buy and sell players without talking to the coach (Balzaretti for example).. It is always a problem when the board and not a coach choose the players (look what happend to schewchenko in England)

and the other big problem we have is the coach. I just can not belive that a coach like lippi was free and we got Ranieri.. May be lippi knew how the board is and thats why did not come to juve. I also can not belive that we still have ranieri and a coach like Mourinho is free out there..

with the current situation it is diffecult to be great again.. I hope I am wrong..

We are great, what do you mean by again? If the team is in a dip that does not mean it is not great. Greatness is not performance, it is not results, it is not trophies. Greatness is history, class and fans. Greatness is Juventus. Juventus is greatness.
