IMO the best online encyclopedia you can find, very useful site. Did most of my research for my graduation paper on the Vietnam War here.

It's best feature is that you can submit your knowledge to it.

the big problem of any encyclopedia is partiality specially when it comes to history interpretation and interpreting history is never partial (you can find multiple interpretation on a single issue).
but wikipedia is not bad compared to other encyclopedias.

The problem with Wikipedia is that it presumes just about anyone is an expert. While they do have areas of moderation, and there is a bit of self-policing involved, in the end it is barely more factual, balanced, and informed than doing a search on Google for something.

wikipedia is a decent site if your in a hurry... But isnt exactly reliable... with much of it un-monitored articles from god knows who or jus rehashed news reports and un-sabstantiated excerpts from various books as a basis for historical events

A useful site for a rough idea about a subject but not exactly a reliable source
