Cheerleaders are great, it's a useful activity to make people who would otherwise feel they have very little to contribute with feel right at home.

Funny you should ask; I was watching basketball the other day, and I noticed that the NBA promo videos focus on the cheerleaders for half the time. I thought to myself "man, I'm glad we don't have cheerleaders in football. It makes me feel like 'my sport' has that much more substance and class"

I think they're several reasons why there aren't any cheerleaders in football.

    A) It would be hard to find a spot for them to stand at.

    B) It's an outdoor game and there are no quarters; it just goes on and on without breaks with the exception of a half time.

    C) It's not an American sport. Cheerleading, as far as I know, mainly exists in American sports; the NBA and the NFL.

Also I recently heard of some Australian league (don't remember what sport, but I think it was football) are planning on getting rid of cheer-leaders because it's preventing families from attending. So I guess there are various reasons why cheerleaders don't exist in football.

Thats exactly the reason football hasnt got any cheerleaders,
because we dont need them, men do totally forget everything about women when its football time,
football is popular enough and has no need for the extra "spectacle",
despite having one of the long lasting break times!!
Be afraid of the day cheerleaders will invade soccer...

BTW, if Lilianna would join the Juve cheerleader squad,
    i wouldnt mind them though:eyebrows:
