I'll take a bet that 75% of spammers concoct their threads in Off-topic. Why don't they ever utilize other areas of the forums, like the Hangout? What, do they think they won't get caught posting in here? Or are they the same sorry individuals that just come to the same play?

At least some spammers have some skill to infiltrate every single entity of the forum, posting their rubbish, making people get angry. That's really their only purpose.

They think people don't moderate Off-Topic.

But they're retarded because all spammers go here it seems... and this place gets some of the least hits on the forums.

    Apparently they aren't market savvy.

Never thought about that, but it really doesn't matter because spam is always spam and usually they get banned after their first post.

Fact #1: Spammers aren't people. They are bits of software programmed by people. Considering how much work it is to write code (as you know, Andy), they just do the easiest thing that works. Create a fake account and then just spam the first forum that comes up.
