-is it necessary for a true fan to be living in or having some link to the city his favourite club is from?
-is someone who has never seen his team play in a stadium not a true fan?
-is supporting a national team other than your own country 'glory hunting'?
-is supporting multiple teams glory hunting?

you see people getting dubbed 'glory hunters and not true fans' all the time.so lets have it,who is a true fan and who is a glory hunter?

personally,i think its down to personal opinion.being from the same city as your favourite club,or being from the same country as your favourite national team doesnt make too much of a difference as long as you're a LOYAL fan.

no u should have a passport and/or the proper documentation showing ur links to the team, then u should get a stamp every year 2 extend ur fan "Visa". Anyone else is a glory hunter
at least thats what some people in this forum believe

U forgot 1 crucial point

you cheer for ur team when it is in their good teams, and keep faith and cheer for them even at bad times

a) No, it's not necessary, but it does help a lot.
b) Eventually you will have to go the stadium. You can't be a Juventus fan if you never have and never will watch a Juventus game live.
c) Not necessarily. If you would be gloryhunting you would not only have to swap national teams regularly, you would also have to cheer for Brazil a lot. And that's just one bridge too far.
d) Of course not. Unless, once again, you swap teams.

indeed....
loyalty and love are 2 VERY IMPORTANT words.

many of us have shed tears when juve lost the cl,and we were celebrating like crazy when we won the scudetto,or qualified in CL. we are all worried for our team's future, and most of us will be broken if we get to serie b,or taken 2 scudettos.-right?
well,i bet most of us from here, have NEVER seen juve play,or even met a single player....
well, from personal experience,i can tell that this doesn't make us less fans.
i love juve with all my heart and will follow juve for ever.
and my bigest dream is one day to go to delle alpi.hope my wish will come true one day....

You can say whatever you want, but going to the Delle Alpi is to juventini what going to Mekka is for muslims. In the end you'll have to. You can't be a fan and not having watched a single game. It's retarded.

Nice comparison:D

Only Muslims who are capable of going to Mecca are forced to go there. The same applies to Turin....

You know, the last couple of months this has been a usual tpic in this forum, and I have enough of this...

who are we to tell who is a real fan and who is not? has a rule book of a true fan has been write and made the Bible of true fans?

I see people here trying to feel more important than others saying " Oh your a glory hunter, Im a true fan" cut the crap people!! who are you to judge? who made you the guru of true fans?

Everybody has the rigth to cheer for the team or teams he wants, this thing about "true fan" vrs "Glory Hunter" is just crap to make people figth each other.

How about we start worry less about who is a true fan and start worry about giving your team (s) some support.

well Im sorry but have you maybe tougth that some people dont have the economic resourses to go to Italy and pay a ticket to go and watch a game?

Im a fan of Juventus, and the fact that I havent got the chance to watch a game of them or go to Delle Alpi idoes not make me a less fan than you.
