If we make it past Bremen and make the quarters or even the semis (which is of course a very big if) methinks we won't see a big signing this season. At least, not a big signing in the way that we'd define it.

Assuming of course that we don't gift the scudetto to Milan or Inter in the process. :sigh:

Let's rob Roma then!!!!Mexes or Chivu would be great!!!!
Chivu, yes; Mexes, no. Chivu is a terrific player, but Mexes is a nucklehead. If we want Iuliano mk. 2, then we should look at Mexes. If you prefer a good player, then probably not.

Mexes have been playing great lately. He's not being as aggressive as his reputation says and with as few mistakes as possible. Probably getting more mature?

But Chivu is injured a lot. And Roma paid € 18 million for him back in 2003, so he won't come cheap. Moggi probably won't take the risk.

Tim Borowski should be on our list, he is full of energy and has pace and power, better than Vieira on tonight's performance.

I think that most of you will disagree with me but I think what we need to do is to buy Mancini Gerrard and maybe (if we could allow it too) buy a defender
I think in order to improve we need this more attacking approach Juve tend to play with a not fast enough rythem and we lack the players who are determined and drive us forward
right now we have Zambrotta and Nedved while the latter is expected to retire in a few years
In the past we had Edgar Davids who did a great job driving us forward and since he has gone we lack this drive!
Gerrard is the Davids kind of player in this term and could be our dynamo
while on the flank Camoranesi is really good his passing are great and he has a great vision and creativity but he is not driving us enough forward therefore Mancini could be his replacement he is very attacking great player really on form and he may want to leave Roma in the summer

Therefore I say

In:
Mancini
Gerrard
Marchionni (free transfer)
a new defender maybe if we could afford ourself
Out:
Camoranesi
Emerson (dont like him much. think he is overated..)

the next big signing should be a cloning facility so that we can reproduce some of the great players already at our disposal. Nedved (but we set him to age 28)...Trezeguet...Cannavaro...and we should clone Zambrotta approximately 4 times, use them on left and right back and both wing positions.

Make it 15 Zambrottas and 2 Buffons
10 Zambrottas on the field with Buffon in goal while 5 Zambrotta and Buffon to replace them in case the get injured or get tired
With Zambrotta it could work:D
