Frank Morgan? Really?

Good one.

Anyone have a gander at who this is? (One for the ladies... too many old dudes in this thread.)

Morgan Fairchild?
Nope. Though I like the All-Things-Morgan idea. Morgan Freeman comes next. Followed by Harry Morgan of MASH fame.

But no -- this woman was born about a decade before Ms. Fairchild. She was an lower profile actress for a while (though arguably not lower than Ms. Fairchild) and did other things in movies (e.g., production), however.

OK, other hints...

She's an art collector, comes from a real estate family.

On the more notable side, she was the original of a collective of pseudo-famous artists. And in the 60's Tom Wolfe wrote an essay with her as the subject that started out:

"Bangs manes bouffants beehives Beatle caps butter face brush-on lashes decal eyes puffy sweaters French thrust bras flailing leather blue jeans stretch pants stretch jeans honeydew bottoms éclair shanks elf boots ballerinas Knight slippers, hundreds of them, these flaming little buds, bobbing and screaming, rocketing around inside the Academy of Music Theatre underneath that vast, old, moldering, cherub dome up there - aren't they super-marvellous!"

How's that for inspiration?

Stop teasing: what's her name?
