Still considering, it is very hard, although I am coming to the conclusion that Platini stands out. DP is not in my thinking though as the best or even favourite player. His record for Juventus goes without saying, but on purely footballing and entertaining criteria he does not compete. Can anyone really say when there was a time (we'll get the year when he was 22 and full of potential) when he was our outstanding or even our best player? I don't think so.

:agree:

Completely true, mate. Everything you said stands.

I know he is the King of Goals, Captain, that he loves the Club and that Supporters and Members of this Forum love him the most, BUT every single person in this world knows that he is definitely not or will ever be on a Pele, Maradona or Platini level.

Therefore, I voted for Platini who is trully the best no. 10 for Juventus ever on the cryteria of football skills.

First match on club level I saw Juve - Ajax Final! I liked Italy and hence supported Juve in that match... and from that times... :)

I can compare Alex to Platini and there is no wide gap between... Platini possesed some qualities DP doesn't and vice versa;

And you seem to have forgotten what DP was before he broke leg :) Remember that time! He was greatest... he was about to get worlds best player ....

Anyway DP #10 !!! We should block that jersey after him:)

Why is he silly? Because he thinks Del Piero is the best to wear Juve's jersey? So by this are you calling all Del Piero supporters and who think of him as Juve's best to be silly?

I advice you to choose your words better before throwing them.

I'm afraid the atmosphere you're trying to make here isn't going to be fun. It's probably going to rain shit.

No wonder why you keep on posting to anything related to Del Piero.

OK< I'll leave you to your idolisation. Sorry that it isn't possible to mention DP in less than reverential words.
Some of us supported Juve long before he turned up, and will continue too long after he is president.

It is not raining shit, but raining nonsense.

And we'll continue to support Juve whether Alex retire or not.

That said that he'll always be numero uno to Juve fans, whether you like it or not. sorry.

What's "silly" is arguing about this to the point of it getting personal..

Seriously, there is nothing wrong with voting for Del Piero as Juve's greatest no. 10.

Nor is there anything wrong with voting for Boniperti, Platini, Baggio or Sivori either.

We're talking about the EXTREMITY OF GREATNESS here.
All of these players are/were WORLD CLASS PLAYERS and we've been blessed to have them play in our team.

Just pick one and shut up!

That's because we only have DP fanboys left. The Baggio fanboys have either left or they don't talk about it anymore.
Or It could be that by time, Del Piero kinda erased Baggio and put him behind by far.
