Also, I've had Mexes and Burdisso and for me both of them were underachievers, Mexes was the 5th choice central back while Burdisso was sold after he had a 6.3 average rating during the entire season. Rather get Milito, he's as good and has a Spanish passport (is Burdisso non-eu, I dont remember?)

Ive tried Toledo, but i prefer Jan Kristiansen.

In the defence, i like De La Cuesta and Albrechtsen. on LB Zonneveld an Mike Duff on RB

I'm with Arif on this one, Z. So far Rothen has been brilliant for me. Along with Camoranesi (boy is he amazing) he's the best winger in Serie A. Only Camo and Neddy have more assists than him in my team, and he tends to score some wonder goals. I love his top knotch volleys from the edge of the area :thumb:

i sold camoranesi on my first season to arsenal for 10.5 mil..

i used the first half of the season Athirson as the LB, so Zambrotta could play as RM. on the second half of the season, i signed Maxwell for free, so used him as the LB. When first season finished, sold Zambrotta to Man U for 15 mil, and then got Marchionni and Gasbarroni as RB. Gasbarroni is brilliant, i hardly ever sub him with Marchionni.
Mexes has been a totally dissapointment for me, he's playing crap. Im very surprised with Kompany, at that age (18), he's one of the best defenders in Serie A.
I tried to get Ujfalusi, but he's too expensive. I offered his club 16 mil, and they refused.

yes, he's argentinian IIRC.

Get Toledo ASAP, you can get him for some 2 mil € max
well, in my game, perugia bought him, and they're not lettong him go. i offered 7 mil and they refused.

Also Stu, try to get Harbuzi from Feyenoord or Leandro Depetris from River, they're both great.

I've currently taken charge of Catanzaro in C1B. My only purcahse will be De la Cuesta, and I'm hoping him and Toledo will get me promoted.

Zlatan, have you tried Leonardo Pischulici (LM) ?

i agreed a fee of 7 mil with Zaragoza IIRC and he'll come in July.

I'll also get an Inter youngster called Potenza (DC).

Yeah, I've had Leonardo, but I got him directly from Argentinos for some 500.000 €, and he's also fantastic, just give him 3 months to adjust.

And I havent tried Potenza.

and btw, i wanted to buy burdisso, but he's too expensive too. boca want 23 mil for him. i got ferrari instead for 6 mil.
That's strange because I paid less than 7m for Burdisso and so far he has been alot better than Mexes. I still want Ferrari but Parma don't want to sell. I'm going to start with a bid of 10m and see what happens. Btw, in which season did you purchase him?

Lucio, Bonera and Henry are joining me next season  I also tried to get De Rossi but he netted a 5 year Roma deal. Currently I'm courting Giampaolo Pazzini and Carlos Tevez, but the problem is that Tevez is a non-EU player. Burdisso is my non-EU guy for this season, and Lucio is going to be for next season, so I'll have to wait a while before I pursue de la Cuesta, Tevez, Cavenaghi, etc.

It seems like I really frigged up with Mexes and Burdisso  Mexes is the most inconsistent man alive and is averaging a poor 6.52. Burdisso has been alot better (last five games = 9-8-9-8-9) but he too has his flaws. Bonera and Lucio should be able to sure up the backline next season.

PS. Thuram has been the best player in Serie A so far. Is there any possibility that I can still get some good cash for him?

Update:

After losing two consecutive games at the hands of Inter and Lazio and then being defeated by Perugia at the start of 2004, I found myself in 4th place in the Serie A. Parma were leading the pack, followed by the two Milan clubs.

I knew that I would have to get my act together and start winning games, alot of games, and I did that. I haven't dropped points since the loss against Perugia and most recently beat Milan 1-0 to move level with Parma at the top of the table.

Meanwhile, in the Coppa Italia I dealt with Siena (but only on penalties) and Chievo to book a semi-final clash with Lazio. The Olimpico hosted the first leg and within 20 minutes I was down 2-0. I was sure that we wouldn't win but knew that an away goal could be crucial. We got our away goal through an Enzo Maresca screamer. After weeks and weeks of playing him at AM I've finally realised that he's a better DM, a damn good one at that.

My boys didn't stop there though. Almost unbelieveably it was 3-2 to us with only a half of an hour on the clock, Miccoli and Di Vaio with the goals. From there on there was no stopping us as Di Vaio capped off a great result with a fantastic lob. 4-2. We won the second leg 2-1 to ensure that we would face Inter in the finals.

Now to the CL. We topped our group ahead of Dortmund, Celtic and Porto with a 100% record and were drawn against Chelsea in the 2nd round. The opening leg was at Stamford Bridge and the home side were victorious, but we had scored an important away goal; 2-1 (Melchiot, Crespo / Zambrotta).

Quite frankly I was worried going into the second leg, but Del Piero came to the rescue. Unlike in real life, the Juve captain was at his brilliant best in a big game and found the back of the net four times. David Trezeguet's chip rebounded off the crossbar in first half stoppage time and hit the body of Carlo Cudicini for an own goal. Chelsea pulled one back with Gudjohnsen, but 5-1 was the full time score and we go marching on to face guess who? Inter Milan.

i bought him in 2004/2005 season. strange, he had a minimum fee release clause of 6 mil, and then i offered parma 6.25 and they had to accept, so i signed him.

well after selling all i could afford to sell thats what the team looks like not much for now but with lucio and trablesi looking a little stronger on defence. till now 1 place in seria A with only a draw to chievo and best game beating roma 3-1. in champions league not so good. a 2-2 and 3-2 against Austria Vienna :lazy:

I never, ever get Henry and Bonera on freee transfers, I use an editor to extend their contracts. It's unrealistic that you can get henry on a free transfer, thats why I dont do it.

Anyways, I wouldnt bother with Ferrari if I were you, I've had him at Parma, Juve, Chelsea and Fiorentina and he's never been anything special. With that said, I dont know why I bought him 4 times for 4 different clubs. Maybe it's all the hype.

Anyways, go for de la Cuesta, you can play him both on the left and in the centre, he's great. Get Toledo asap, I can guarantee that he'll push out camo out of the team.

He plays for Catanzaro in C1B, and you can get him for some 2 mil €. He's brazillian, but the non eu rule only applies for players bought from abroad, you can buy as many brazillians, argentinians, etc, as long as they already play in Italy.

If you want to get some money for Thuram you have to put him on the transfer list the moment you take over, the first day, while his value is still around 15 mil €. If you do that you can probably get some 10-15 mil € for him, usually L'pool make a bid, and if you're really luck you can get 22.5, which I got. Anyways, the best club to offer your players to is Chelski, put Iuliano on the list, I got 7 mil € for him from Chelskea. They also bought Blasi, Miccoli and Birindelli from me.

Anyways, I've just taken charge of Atalanta in Serie B, they have some great young players and I'm excited to be working with them (Pazzini, Montolivo, Foglio, Espinal)

Anyways, this is my team:

GK: Cech
DL: de la Cuesta
DR: Foglio
DC: Dawson
DC: Alpay
ML: Espinal
MR: Toledo
DM: Bajramović
AM: Montolivo
ST: Onwuachi
ST: Pazzini

If I make it to Serie A (which I most probably will, I just came out of 4 wins in the league, 9-0, 5-1, 4-0, 2-1), I'll need a few new players.

I want a new first team left back so that I can switch De la Cuesta to the centre of defence, a new first team right and centre back, a new first team left wing and defensive midfielder, a right wing sub for Toledo, a sub for Montolivo and a a sub striker to give me cover if someone gets injured. I already have Cerci, and I tried to get Olisadebe, I arranged a fee of 3.8 mil € but he refused my contract offer of 1.3 mil e per year.
